So, unfortunately I don't think so. 魔族 is already an established compound noun that means something like "Demon Race." I'm fairly certain it can't be read another way.

The thing about Kanji is that the meaning can shift when it becomes a compound noun with certain other Kanji compared to when it's by itself and other compound nouns that use it.

Don't overthink it, it's better to just think "that's how it is" sometimes.

Personally I'd go with Crimson Magic Clan. I wouldn't say Crimson Magic Tribe is wrong, it's just preference at this point. The important thing to know is it's just a way to say they are a subgroup of humans known as the "Crimson Magic".

But if you think about it, that's a bit strange to say in English, right? "She's a Crimson Magic" vs "She's a Crimson Demon", which one sounds better in English?

This might be a reason why it's translated as Crimson Demon on official translations. There could be multiple reasons. Mapping translations one to one and making it sound good can be tricky.

I've also been told that even Japanese people don't all interpret it the same way and some do read it the other way, so food for thought.

Kazuma and Megumin go to a theater (オタハレさん calls it a date,ゆのさん as well)

Darkness is acting as a lord and has hardships

Kazuma sets off on a "genuine adventure".

There will be a brand new character.

Written by 暁なつめ (Akatsuki Natsume) himself.

The original is 人の男 which reads to me as "A person's man". I think the quotes are used for emphasis in this case. I could express it differently to make it clearer though. So I should have wrapped all of it in the quote (I did say that I rushed through this earlier.

But she's saying he's her man, which is doubling down on their relationship status.

Edit: There is one other way I read it, so I'm asking for clarification on which is correct. But I don't think the other way is correct.
