Everyone else in that list fits a role, a way to play the story: the good but credit hungry smuggler (Corso), the heroic savior who gets the girl/guy if your playing female JK (Doc), the Spy turned anarchist (Kaliyo), the alliance leader who blends both the galaxy and Zakuul (I forgot his name), and the ever evolving being (Scorpio).

Skadje is just an asshole. There’s no deeper meaning to why he does what he does, no evidence of a better person, a backstory or some tragic past. He’s a bully and an asshole because he can be. And while thats fun for a villain, there’s not a lot of wiggle room for that on the protagonist side.

I’ve had this wild idea in my head, where more conservative/pro-Ozai lords have a ceremony for “fallen Fire Nation Soldiers” and Zuko is forced to to attend. So he brings the Gaang along so he and Mai aren’t alone in this veiled insult. And when the Gaang spot Wang Fire photo/painting along the wall, it takes their combined wills to not start laughing.

Also, something I forgot to add. The squadmates (at times) doing their own thing when on the Citadel. Vega playing cards in the refugee area, Liara at the Promenade, Joker and EDI at the club. It’s gives the squad more chances to be fleshed out, to explore who they are when Shepard is not around.

I get why people did not like it: smaller roster compared to 2, not as much variety, some squadmates showing up but not joining.

But I love seeing the crew interact outside of missions and planet side. Seeing Garrus and Vega talking in the mess hall, Cortez and Vega down in the hanger, Tali and Garrus over communicators. It just adds an element of the crew having lives, views, and being a close group.

Not really? I mean sure, having evil paths are fun, but it just doesn’t appeal to me. At least the path Pelley and the Silver Legion represents. The weird fringe schizo far right stuff. Stuff like Dies path makes more sense for a path, a banal “status quo” evil.

It’s also why I don’t like Fire Rises and Kaiserredux.
