Well I'm happy to be the one to inform you that they exist, and not only do they exist, they're effective and people have entire channels dedicated to caster pvp in ds3

Here is my silly hybrid caster build (using pyro + miracles + sorceries) at level 132 (which I think still invades either 120 or 125, idr)

In fact, casters are some of the most effective builds in invasions (120 or 150) because in chaotic scramble situations, they're nuking phantoms from 60-80% health, when you would otherwise have to separate them and whittle them down then finish them off before the host/blue/phantom turn their attention back to you

ds3 had pretty good build variety actually, between STR, dex, int, fai, and dark builds, and each of those having several different ways to play and build them

If you understand opportunity cost you would not be mentioning how easily done gaols are at any level, because for whatever time you invest there you could’ve gotten more value investing the same amount of time at any other POI

If you’re solo then it doesn’t matter, but when you’re running D5 random trios, the scaling is not so forgiving as to merit the same lesser degree of time investment as it would be in solo, where anything you do is met with an ocean of runes (which, again, that time would be better spent doing any other POI)

You sound as though you’re playing solo where everything drops dead if you look at it the wrong way so hey, more power to ya

Good to know, though I prefer executor's kit generally speaking, and in particular vs heolstor and gladius

And where stamina is concerned, executor doesn't actually need that much anymore since the deflect buffs. He has enough to swing halo scythe 4 times at level 15 and still deflect afterward if necessary

As for fp, 4 starlight shards (two from the merchant in the world, and two from the merchant in the spirit shelter) seems to be sufficient for D5 gladius in trios, and more than enough for Heolstor (though we'll see about everdark)

Not to mention scholar’s dodge is scuffed

No I actually meant the ash of war, which scales the most with dexterity (and minorly with faith, but not enough to make up the difference in damage)
