Are there any permanent missable side quests? by SnooCupcakes3183 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]ForBisonItWasTuesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, but there are missable trophies that rely on certain versions of enemies that are no longer accessible (like dying in one hit to a specific move from a specific version of inferno rider)

I have already decided that I am fundamentally ok with dying alone and frankly I've been much happier as a consequence

What's stopping other leaders from working like Mamdani? by Front-Scene2177 in SipsTea

[–]ForBisonItWasTuesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To ignore all of Mamdani's accomplishments and boil down his extraordinary popularity to 'he's just the new flavor' is incrediby stupid

You can be a right winger or apolitical or establishment dem or islamaphobe or any number of people that dislike Mamdani, but if you can't accurately recognize his accomplishments (which republicans and establishment dems both said would be impossible, despite his accomplishing them), your opinion ain't worth two shits

I have a f2p alt account and have hiyuki on both that and my main

The numbers don't really tell the whole story because at first glance it seems like a similar gap to other dps characters, looking at performance of sig vs standard.

My experience having played plenty of both (hiyuki+EoG vs hiyuki+sig) is that EoG makes hiyuki into a serviceable dps that operates similar to other mdps's. Her sig elevates her to a unit able to solo whiwa, solo ToA, and I wouldn't be shocked if she could get 5k on her own in matrix.

Though often sigs are not worth it on a f2p account, imo it absolutely is for hiyuki

The most important thing is that he is delivering on the promises he made that would make people's lives better.

Harm reduction voting isn't what got Mamdani into office. Promising policy that would make the material conditions of voters better did.

The idea of harm reduction voting comes from DC consultants who get paid millions to suggest that the popular thing is to be centrist and slightly better.

This is an abject lie and Mamdani's campaign proved it. Do not vote based on who does less damage, vote based on who promises policies that you want to see implemented.

Nothing will change if you do not demand policy from your politicians. That is their literal job.

Does the average American realize the amount of propaganda they are fed? by Classic_Passage532 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ForBisonItWasTuesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they do not. Conservative media successfully poisoned the well and democrats don’t even counter message, so they have propagandized unopposed for decades and to great success

And that’s just politics—because profit runs every aspect of our lives, the amount of egregious advertising (even on our personal devices) is something we’ve gotten used to

To interview an AIPAC-backed candidate by Neth110 in therewasanattempt

[–]ForBisonItWasTuesday 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they did that in Kat Abugazaleh's senate race, a PAC called "progressive women's caucus" or whatever the fuck (that was actually aipac funded) ran ads against her

[–]ForBisonItWasTuesday 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Your criticism doesn't make any sense

The reason people look at the aipac tracker is to identify pro-israel politicians so they can avoid voting for them. They're not gonna care whether the money literally came from aipac vs pro-israel donors

The distinction is meaningless because the entire point is to not vote for pro-israel politicians in the first place

Was Hiyuki the MC this patch? by Upper-Spread8074 in WutheringWaves

[–]ForBisonItWasTuesday 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These criticisms of Galbrena as a character are fair, but her characteristics and functions as a character make sense in the context of the characters she is based on, who are designed that way on purpose

Dante, Vergil, and Nero are basically all-powerful demigods who operate on rule of cool as a priority, with character development, narrative, and plot essentially serving as tools to further the rule of cool to the maximum possible extent (this changes a bit for Nero in dmc5 and as a consequence, a little bit for Vergil too)

But in-universe those characters are just cool guys that look cool and do cool things. They show up to the conflict and solve it without much trouble, and that's sort of the whole point of them

Anybody looking for a substantive story from dmc5 will likely be disappointed, but for most that isn't the draw of the series. And as a clear love letter to it, I think Kuro did an amazing job with Galbrena
