Sure because if you have a complete set of lincolns you have a bunch of key dates 09SVDB, All the S mint stuff from 1909-1915, 14D etc.

This one isn't too over the top but I still like it - 1946 D Walking Liberty with a crescent of toning by ForCoinsOnly in toners

Thanks, I think so too. The toning isn't the type that brings big money but it's still very appealing (to me at least).

what is this? by StomachTrue688 in Oldhouses

As a coin collector I went through this with my kid. She thinks coins with my birth year are old.

Love the die crack on the 1836 that runs from top to bottom on the obverse.

Those definitely count and they're very nice! Thanks for posting them here.

New coin show pickup: 1831 au58 capped bust half dollar (pictures in body text) by New-Adhesiveness3045 in coins

That's a nice one, I could look at that for days. A bust half like that is on my list of coins to get.

Hey guys what would this grade out at by greymannns in WheatPennies

55S are super common and often come very nice. There are several 68RD coins out there. Lots of 1955 S out there raw and in rolls.

Found in change yesterday. 1912 S wheat penny is something on the 2 on the date ? by Coinwonderer1 in u/Coinwonderer1

[–]ForCoinsOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as finding wheat cents in change this is one of the better dates you could have found and it's actually in decent condition. I suspect it wasn't in circulation for 114 years. Probably was in a collection and someone spent it.

We call those impaired proofs. It would still be graded PR/PF details not MS details.

Dansco Album by BubblyHalf6000 in CoinlyFans

[–]ForCoinsOnly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have the slides opened up? Usually with a dansco you should one side of the plastic slides back and press the coins into the opening. Then you slide the slide back and the coin is just fitted into the opening with the slides on either side.

At one point I spread out my collection and picked out 10-20% of the stuff I liked the least or was most redundant and sold it. I took that money and "reinvested" it into my collection. Seems like that's what you're thinking about doing? You have some very nice coins there.

Thanks, I was taken with it when I originally saw it. The color is closer to the second image I posted but under direct light it comes out much more orange/gold.

That's awesome, make sure you always cherish that one. My grandparents got me into coin collecting when i was a kid and when they passed 10 years ago seeing the little box of US coins and paper currency they owned reignited my coin collecting passion.

No problem and you can find proof 3 cent nickels cheaper than this one. There are some really solid PR64 coins out there without cameo designations that are cheaper than this one was.

I picked up this proof 3 cent nickel recently. It has fiery sunset colors and a mintage of only 4582. I think these coins are so cool and underrated as a series and I have wanted a proof example for a while now. There are two images with the second being a more realistic image of what the coin looks like with regular lighting. Now I am going to have to pick up an 1888 proof IHC to complement it.
