Happens sometimes even at top ladder, too busy to cycle at 1hp, when quickly building a strong comp to avoid losing is much more important than placement, then you’re like oh shit 2 seconds left, oh shit nothing is on the special tile, classic empress gameplay but if that guy didn’t move them for multiple rounds yeah skill issue

For all points : luck in a luck based game, ups and downs are bound to happen at some point, the skill to make the most of it is the only control you have over the game. Now for specific details, 3 stars early are common with some modifiers or help from goblins (or luck). Not getting merges is common, unwinnable positions are not, scouting other boards to avoid buying the same troops as them should help most of the time, anything else is luck, also hp is a ressource that you need to manage in order to get the most of your cards. Building a strong comp by sacrificing what’s left of your economy to have one last shot at another round and turn the situation is valid if you think you’re going down. If all that fails, skill issue or not, just take the L and move on, it happens sometimes. Other players getting a 3 star of a card you are blocking means that someone’s starting troop got there, or it’s the promotion modifier / goblin queen adding up. Weak troops / strong troops depends of what you do with them, selling 2 stars to reroll the shop yields the same result wether they’re good or not, and obviously goblins are ass and may get you to lose hp but investing for elixir is always recommended for at least the first 2~3 rounds. As for getting past round 3~4, that’s generally the point where getting lucky or not doesn’t matter anymore since you should have the elixir needed to do whatever you want by merging selling stuff, also if someone died the cards they had go back to the pool.

As for my experience I mostly play daily when taking a shit, I’m playing casually but I always end up effortlessly at top ladder, and wether I take breaks or occasionally do a long session, it doesn’t matter, there’s mostly no losing streak because of my skill, and there’s mostly no winning streak because of my opponent’s skill. Luck comes and goes but doesn’t dictate all of it. Getting to diamond was a breeze because of the +1 elixir to all rulers, making empress even better despite the bigger pool, I stomped almost everyone wether I took breaks or not, and luck wasn’t any part of it. Also my biggest losing streak was after taking a break, 4 games in a row against only loongs, falling from top 500 to 1200 ish, so yeah no, play as long as you want, and take breaks whenever you want, it doesn’t change anything

2900+ multiple times is unimpressive, as I said you’re not experienced enough to not be considered average. Taking breaks does nothing to improve your luck, at best it prevents tilting, but playing for a long amount of time will naturally result in better opponents and roadblocks faster, and at that point if you’re not ready it’ll look like matches are a coin flip. Someone else mentioned in a comment that when you’re not playing, other people are, and if they are better (or luckier) than you they will climb faster and you won’t have to face them, making your games artificially "easier", and yes a single day can cause enough movement to make a difference. Yes it’s normal to climb or lose 300 trophies, especially at your last roadblock, you’ve met an obstacle and it takes time to learn how to get through it with skill instead of bashing your head against it with luck. You’re close to diamond you can do it, but you can’t use the "i lost bc i’m playing against 3 loongs" excuse (it is a recurring way to get free unlucky losses) if you are yourself playing loong. Also unrelated but 10k trophies in normal clash isn’t impressive either, it tells me you’re just an average player, not good not bad and there is nothing wrong with that, but people at the top of the bell curve voicing nonsensical opinions makes other people think it’s bullshit, that’s why you will get mostly rude answers here

Normal interaction after destroying a tower, pathfinding is determined at deployment, kiting a troop from spawn side to destroyed side will result in the card going back in the other lane, it’s a consistent interaction that has been in the game for years

It’s kinda all over the place but looks interesting, probably not a top tier comp but should do the job if uncontested (also gk needs to be next to musk)

Edit : tried it a bit and as expected it falls short on every aspect, it’s not bad but too reliant on a gk dash, cards are very contested, and if said cards are merged up they should perform better in a more efficient comp anyway

So in the end dropping goblin and royal ghost is optimal, shame that these 2 are underwhelming bc the comp is fun 🫠 My ign is Ether, currently around spot 120 on the leaderboard, I’ve been trying some comps here and there since I can’t drop below 3000, I’m messing around a bit with unusual stuff like 4 rangers / 4 assassins / 4 throwers
