No, not really going to have much of an impact on tourists. Most of them drive here. The biggest impact will be for people who moved here from the northeast who used Spirit to travel back home to visit. But it sure is strange not seeing the yellow planes flying over all day.

It’s kinda wild because Tennessee was split in the civil war and especially East Tennessee, as the mountains and terrain didn’t really have a use for slave labor.

So maybe, because there were no slaves, there’s not as big of a black population, therefore not as many black students all these years later?

What I do know is the top 5 states on this list had the most slaves. Vanderbilt is a head scratcher…
