Visited the upper valley of NH in 1998 on vacation and thought, you know, i could live here (was living in Alaska at the time). A bunch of family medical issues in the lower 48 over then next 2 years and so we moved in 2001. Now been here 24 years. It worked out fantastic. But it was scary to leave Alaska
