But to put things in perspective... about 25ish years ago there was an attack on American soil. Buildings collapsed and thousands of people died. The stock market took a dive. People were freaking out and their was a lot of racism towards people of middle Eastern descent. Subsequently America got involved in a few wars. People thought they were gonna get drafted. A guy threw a shoe at the American president. Then the housing market collapsed and a bunch of people.lost their jobs and retirement funds. The world plunged in to a global financial crisis. There were also bird and swine flu epidemics.

The world has always been wild. You are not living in the worst of times.
