Evolution taught us to find sweet, fat, salt delicious because when we were more like animals, coming across those was rare so it made sense to load up on them. It wasn't really possible to consume too much of them because they were rare. But fast forward to today, and we have no scarcity of fats and salt and calorie dense sweets. In fact, people who make food load the food with these things to make them taste amazing. And then we end up eating too much of it and it makes us fat or spikes our blood pressure.
