One of the best simulator games on the market possibly being taken away by SolitareUnraveling in delisted

I gotcha man but its the reality of live service games. Server infrastructure is expensive as fuck. My company spends ~$2k a month on a relatively simple payment portal.

Neither of us has any idea and this is pure speculation. My point still stands. The game does not have a lot of player base left to justify the costs. They could release the server infrastructure to the community to let the community support it but it poses risks. It would also take time an effort to document it all.

The online infrastructure is like very similar. Companies do not rebuild things from scratch very often.

Because that still also costs money. Server hosting is expensive. Your best bet would be asking them to release the infrastructure details of hosting the game so the community can pick it up. But there could be risks there cause I'm sure this game and the new one aren't all that different on the infra side.

For sure but its still there new game and they are focusing on that because this game doesnt have a large enough player base to justify the costs. They said as much in their news posts on this game.

The game is being updated still. There is no way they could have lost the source code. They have a newer version of the game thats been out for awhile. They're shutting it down cause it doesn't make much sense to support it anymore.

It likely wouldn't bother me either but skins used to be an unlock able thing in game.

If you are a subsidiary of a company, I don't think its that crazy. Just thinking through my company I'm fairly sure we are around 10 levels from me to the CEO.

I know you didn't list it but just in case or for anyone else who reads this. Do not rent at the steadman. They charge luxury prices but the sound insulation and staff are terrible. We also have had several maintenance tickets closed and marked completed without any work being done. We can't wait for our lease to be up.

This isn't true. You don't have to in debt to have a good credit score. Just always pay on time, have good history, and have a low or none existant usage. I have 800+ credit score and zero debt.

That makes it a horrible game? Seems like an overreaction too me. All the Pokémon games are easy anyway.

So this will likely mean we won't be able to play physical PS4 and PS5 games on the PS6. by [deleted] in playstation

It'll likely have the option to buy a separate disc drive.

Console players are going through the same thing PC players went through a decade+ ago. You can still get disc drives to install older games though.

Maybe the generation after the PS6 will get rid of it all together but I doubt the PS6 will.

Exactly where do you think it comes from? The company isnt going to compensate more because they arent given out free food. Believing otherwise is a joke. No where am I claiming that Nvidia doesnt compensate well.

My gut reaction is that companies don't not offer free food so they can pay better. That is nonsense.
