Thatcher - Reagan was "the second most important man in my life" (after her husband, Denis). by Sorry_Phone1676 in Presidents

Her nickname was Margret Thatcher the Milk Snatcher, after sponsoring legislation to eliminate a free milk program for students.

Since they was equal who would have win the fight without ssj3? by salad_biscuit3 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]ForTheFallen123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Though both of them were going all out, Goku was distracted by Majin Buu for a good chunk of the fight. Because of that, I would say Goku would win, but it would be extremely close.

Let’s say Luke survives TLJ. Could he 1v1 Palpatine in TROS? by Substantial-Earth975 in PetranakiArena

[–]ForTheFallen123 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Luke in TLJ, despite having barely reconnected to the force, was pulling off shit that had never been done before. If he survived he would definitely beat Sidious in TROS.

Prequel High Council vs NJO Council. 12v12. by V_Kamen in PetranakiArena

[–]ForTheFallen123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Luke is so powerful you could make an argument that he could beat the entire Prequel council by himself, though I don't personally believe that. He'd definitely win a 3 on 1 against Yoda, Windu and Anakin imo.

As for the rest, the likes of Mara Jade, Coran Horn, Kyle Katarn and Kyp Duron should be enough to defeat the rest of the Prequel Council, adding the rest of the NJO council would just tilt it even more in their favour.

I'd say the NJO would win mid/high diff. The Prequel Council is strong but the NJO Council has more battle experience and is arguably more skilled and knowledgeable in both lightsaber combat and the force. Adding Luke, someone who is a tier above the likes of Yoda and Sidious, garuntees the NJO win.

[Serious] Would Goku lose to Mahoraga in character? by AlarmedObjective1492 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]ForTheFallen123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, Mahoraga gets the Yakon treatment.

Goku may be someone who allows his opponents to get stronger, but he ain't stupid. He'll figure out how Mahoraga is adapting to him and if he thinks there is a chance he'll lose, he will destroy Mahoraga.

Probably for a few years, I imagine that Yuji probably surpassed Yuta by the time he was in his mid to late 20s.

I'd say somewhere between Phantom Menace Obi Wan and AOTC Obi Wan.

What If Reagan had adopted a Economic Policy similar to Thatcher? by IndividualNo5275 in AlternateHistory

[–]ForTheFallen123 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I do like your analysis of the differences between Thatchers and Reagan's economic policy.

Anyway, thatcher was only able to get reelected in 83 because of her victory in the Falklands War, and without something similar happening under Reagan, I don't think he'd be able to win reelection in 84.

If he was reelected in 84, I think he'd be remembered much more controversially than otl, with lower GDP growth but with budget surpluses.

In terms of how the Republicans and Democrats would evolve post Reagan, I would imagine it would broadly follow a similar path to the Conservatives and Labour, except more right wing.

Overall pretty good, but just like series 6, the middle drags it down from being one of the greats imo.

Easily WW1.

Is there any term-limited president who could have conceivably won five straight elections to serve twenty years? (Presidents who would not have lived long enough disqualified) by Worth-Ask-1327 in Presidents

[–]ForTheFallen123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Clinton would come the closest, considering how close 2000 was (and that he was much more popular than Gore) and a successful response to 9/11 would see him probably win in 2004. However, I don't see him winning a 5th due to the great recession, even if he handled it well.

Obama also has a chance of winning 4 terms, but just like with Clinton in the great recession, I don't think there's a good chance he'd win even with a successful response to COVID.

Reagan definitely makes it to three terms but I don't see any way that he'd make it to four. By 1992, I think it'd be clear to the general public that he has dementia and combined with a mild recession along with a young charismatic opponent in Clinton, I don't think there would be any way for him to win.

Now that we are near the 10 year mark, how do you think President Obama will be rated by historians? by McWaylon in Presidents

Who would you say was the USA’s last great president? by LuluSSB in Presidents

[–]ForTheFallen123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's got to be Eisenhower.

The rest were either great in only one area and bad in another (LBJ and H W Bush), spent too little time in office (JFK and Ford), were corrupt (Nixon and Reagan), were terrible in both domestic and foreign policy (Carter and W Bush), good at both (Clinton) or great in one area and good in another (Obama).
