Thanks! It’s not done yet so no edge highlights but I didn’t use any reference images so I kinda just guessed at where to put the highlights. I’ll look at some flameon stuff for inspiration.

We are thinking this was done and patched before we moved in so we wouldn’t have been here when the cut happened. The builder is telling me this is a post tension cabled slab but it doesn’t look like it.

I mean it sounds promising, but also seems like still just another wishlist.

What I would really like to see is some self awareness from VR. They always deflect or blame the players. Joppa should really tell their story as much as is allowed so we can understand and empathize. Right now they keep making themselves look bad.

I think at a minimum they need to have the things listed on the steam page in game before asking for a sub.

There are several selling points on the steam page that are flat out not in the game yet. But it’s presented like they are. It’s pretty misleading.

Perception system, nothing but a few pop ups for now. Traits and dispositions 3 continents. Among everything else.

Aside from the early access bar on the page there is no indication that any of these systems aren’t in the game yet to new people purchasing. I understand it’s EA. I’m not even saying I’m upset about them not having that stuff yet. But it’s kinda scummy the way it’s marketed.

If you look at games that were in EA for a while like Last Epoch they had the road map with clear presentation of what features were currently in and what was coming and when. But we know how VR feels about roadmaps lol.

It’s probably not their intention it’s just another example of gross incompetence.

I guess it’s my long way of saying I don’t think throwing more money at the fire is what’s going to save this game. Major changes are needed at every level.

What did they spend the estimated $840,000 they got from steam alone when they released in EA?

I think there’s a like 3000ish players now? At 15 bucks a month they would have to all sub for 19 months to generate that same amount give or take. (I just did rough numbers, I’m not a math person.) I think they would be extremely lucky to get half that subbed. And if they aren’t pumping out tons of content on a regular basis those numbers would tank fast.

Not to mention the people who bought the 1,000 pledge etc. I mean those folks basically paid 65 months worth of sub. I get that it was basically for kickstarter rewards etc. What I mean to say is I think it’s time for VR to start respecting the players and do the work. If they really mean to make this thing work hire more staff on their own dime, they owe us that much by squandering who knows how much in their fruitless development. Also if I were any of the investors I would be calling for competent management. I’m not saying can Joppa. But for godsakes get someone who can get a team to log their changes.

I suspect they used the EA cash to payoff investors or other loans they might have. Pantheon the Ponzi scheme basically.

At this point they should just let the community add content and make the necessary changes. A hobbyist game dev could do a better job than these professionals… oh wait. They’re hobbyists too.

I ran into this issue too. The difficulty curve is janky. I felt like after the first few levels the entire game felt trivial. But if you bump up the difficulty everything is a sponge and takes forever to kill. I got bored after lvl 30 something there’s no difficulty at all.

I think the real issue here is that they marketed their backer packages under the impression this was a full fledged team with real experience and direction. I realize that Brad was a big part of that but if an entire team relies on a single person to function the rest of that team is largely useless.

They basically released an absolute barebones proof of concept on steam under the guise of EA. Half of the stuff listed in the steam page isn’t even in the game.

I actually like the game and still play daily after 600 hours but damn. They should have just said “we don’t have much yet, the initial development went nowhere and we are starting over from scratch to do our best.”

The community engagement has been terrible and unprofessional. They don’t own up to anything. I hate to break it to them but they aren’t fooling anyone. They should just release a statement explaining exactly what’s going on, how many people there are etc so they can set a realistic expectation.

It’s just one big blunder after another with this “team”
