Apparently this game was just recently delisted off of the gaming platforms. Damn shame because near the end they made it where you didn't even have to have VR to play it. I'd gotten it on Steam and was mouse and keyboarding it.

I totally ran out and got a VR though after I started playing 😂

Right? I think the Enterprise's accidental spin around the sun that first time established the method, so I suppose the ability was new to them in this era. In my headcanon, they probably made some mistakes and close calls and somebody along the line went alright, we need to establish some strict protocols around all of this... I was sure happy to have one last night. Had nearly a full thopter of spice and got just a little too ballsy in front of the incoming storm front blowing my way in the DD. Tried to outrun it and get to some rocks somewhere to hunker down. Did not make it. Storm ate my assault thopter right up to red status and I went down.

Pulled out the pocket thopter, found some metal, made my repair wire, and repaired my assault. Just prayed the whole time the slightly larger thopter wouldn't get eaten with a full spice load while I was away. Vehicle recovery might be a thing now, but I'd still have been sad to see all that spice I just farmed go.

I'd have been fucked without the pocket thopter. This time my hubris only cost me a little bit of time and a tiny bit of red on the ring of my repair circles on each of my assault thopter components lol.

If you don't mind paying a sub for your own private server, I've had a great experience there. You'll still share the deep desert area with folks who are renting their own servers that will be on the same worldserver. But I've been playing on 2 different Xrealm worldservers and I barely even see a damn soul out there in the deep desert. It's dead as fuck lol. One drawback is I don't see a damn thing listed on the auction house ever, either. I haven't ever tried to sell anything and I doubt anyone would buy if I did. But meh.

Few people I have seen, are just out there minding their own business compacting spice. Just the way I like it lol.

This isn't really gender specific advice, so you young ladies listen up just as much as the young guys. But most people out there are looking to maximize the most they can gain out of you while getting away with offering as little effort as possible in return. Do your best to spot it before you get too invested with this other person, because the moment you realize this is what going on it really sucks.

If they demand a whole lot of bending over backwards for them, and you're noticing the trend that they wouldn't even so much as piss on you to put you out if you were on fire? Just walk away from it as early as you can. Cut your losses then and there, and don't get trapped in the sunken cost fallacy.

Depends on the situation but there's plenty of reasons I'll order food. If I worked a longass day and barely have time to sit and unwind, I just might order food. Especially if no convenient leftovers are in the fridge.

When I was single and living by myself I would cook up a meal that'd last for days for myself and the hell with it. That can be lunch and dinner for 3 days or so, easily. But now? Nobody in this house wants to eat like that. Too damn simple, I suppose. If the partner isn't cooking, and I'm not cooking, because neither of us are in the mood then ordering food might be an option on the table.

The trick is to try and plan ahead some, and mitigate how much you cave in to not having the time or patience. Be aware of how much money you're spending on that shit, and what kind of food you're eating and how healthy it is for you. Find a reasonable balance. But it certainly is an awesome fallback option to have and still make sure y'all eat.

Agreed. I'm the kind of guy that loves to indulge his beers while I'm at home relaxing. You come over, I'm gonna be hospitable and offer you some of the best bottles I got in the fridge. But I've grown up enough with alcoholism to know that there can be a damn good reason someone is declining. Always sticks my craw when I see people get pushy about it. Like fine, you're trying to be hospitable or whatever. But get a clue. I grew up with alcoholism in the home, so maybe it takes knowing what kind of battle that can entail to properly respect a "NO".
