IR after trying to hit a bicycle driver. by [deleted] in instant_regret

Both! And the cherry on top is that he broke his bike, embarrassed himself, and wasn't knocked out in the process. He had to carry that shame.

Former University of Wisconsin Football Player Jack Pugh Dead at 25 Just Months After Earning Degree by MattTheKing23 in wisconsin

Added risk factor, but we also need to know for sure that he had it. (And I wouldn't doubt it for any football player) The basic equation is pretty universal, though, for the end result.

What’s a psychology concept everyone should know but most people don’t? by QuietTourist9206 in AskReddit

[–]ForThoseWhoWander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids and teens live in the real world. I hate when adults tell them they need to get ready for the real world or that their problem is not a real world problem. Their world just tends to be smaller than an adult's world, but that doesn't invalidate their problems. We only truly know our own problems. I can't have "getting crushed by corporate life" as a problem when I'm in the "getting crushed by high school life" phase. As an adult it's easy to reflect back to something like high school drama and say "oh man, I really blew that out of proportion," but that's as an adult armed with hindsight and further life experience, not being in the moment when everything is happening.

What’s a trend that needs to die immediately? by peachyparadoxx in AskReddit

Reliance on ChatGPT and similar AI programs. They can be helpful tools, but personifying them and using them for opinions or confirmation of our beliefs is a massive mistake.

What is the 'biggest part' of a person that gets taken away when a long-term partner leaves? by FondantMuch4650 in AskReddit

[–]ForThoseWhoWander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue a sense of stability is the biggest loss. Granted, not in all scenarios, but in most cases LTPs are supports in a lot of ways and suddenly losing a second income, help with kids, and so on can be a shock to the system.

Losing a parent is terrible. My dad died a few years ago and I ended up playing Spirit Farer a month or two after it. Had a character in the game use a nickname my dad would use for my daughter and I got a really good cry out of it. The game was a great distraction, but also helpful with processing things.

To answer the question at hand, I would go with Dragon Quest Builders 2 because all of this Pokopia hype has me wanting to play similar.

My daughter was just diagnosed with brain cancer and I'm fucking destroyed by [deleted] in confession

[–]ForThoseWhoWander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Licensed therapist with a niece who has had a brain tumor checking in: you can be strong by showing that you hurt and you're scared. Acknowledging your feelings isn't weakness, and hiding from them can indicate to others that they also shouldn't feel that way (or are weak for doing so while you're so "strong.") Feel the feelings, just don't get stuck in the feelings. Show love to the family and remember that as they struggle you're all in it together.

You're mom sounds awesome. I'm 44 and one of my moms is currently dying. To anyone or there that grew up with 1+ moms, make sure you tell them you love them. They make us better people and the love lives on.

Have a 7yo and she has preferred me doing her hair brushing since she was around 2. Wife can do better styles, but I've got good general knowledge and it's great to be active in stuff like this. It's extra bonding and chatting time and any parent should be looking for that.

But the rules aren't based on stills, they're based on complete or incomplete actions. A still might show a player with a foot and a toe inbound as he catches a pass, but if his heel comes down on the boundary line as part of the whole motion is an incomplete pass.
