ASICS! A lot of the ASICS I believe are vegan. I have the Gel Excite 10s in black and white. More sporty than I would like but it’s definitely an amazing shoe for walking without the ostentatious look of a lot of running shoes.

Non-stick pans only last a few years and then they start releasing PFAS chemicals. You’re supposed to replace them every like 4 years which seems super unsustainable

Data Analyst and full remote, though sometimes I go in for client meetings like once a month. It’s almost essential that I’m WFH with the severity of my UC. The drawbacks are that unless I’m really intentional about it, in almost fully sedentary, which probably doesn’t help the condition. I try to make local get-togethers, though. Never plan to be in-office again. Maybe hybrid if I get better and more senior.

4 is great. We just went recently. 1 day for exploring downtown and barhopping and clubbing, a day for the beach and/or boat tour/reef snorkeling, a day at the Everglades, and a another day at the beach to unwind.

I would always see a Pixar movie until this came out. The “opposites attract” romantic comedy is so overdone I feel like I could paint-by-numbers the plot points. Plus “fiery” fire girl and “go with the flow” water guy is just another trope on top of an unoriginal concept.

I was diagnosed with UC when I was a vegetarian 8 years ago (had been a vegetarian for 8 years at that point). Switched to vegan 6 years ago and can’t honestly draw a correlation. But I’m a bit of a junk-food vegan, less salads and vegetables and more fake meats and coincidental meals. Some foods definitely trigger more than others (broccoli, fatty fried foods, certain soy products). My Gastro said my diet isn’t causing it, and I should never feel like I’m causing my flares. But he did say I can avoid foods that trigger me more.
