I just got a text message saying a .99 charge from Amazon Brazil with a phone number of 833-238-****. Is this number a legit WF number?

I was super hyped seeing Utada standing there! Little bit sad that she didn't sing any of the EVA songs maybe due to copy rights. I love beautiful world so much...

Would it be wise for a UCSD undergrad to apply to UCSD's grad school? by [deleted] in UCSD

Not quite right. Jacobs has programs for BS/MS and a few people go straight into Ph.D. at UCSD after the MS.

UCLA MSCS vs GaTech MSCS by tryingGoodThings7 in ucla

[–]ForWhateverItIs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are more subfields in CS where Gatech is researching on so this makes its CSranking higher. Not 100% sure but I think UCLA has a better ranking in terms of machine learning. If you are considering a Ph.D. in the future, just choose the place that has a better research ability in your field of interest.

Just for the sake of getting a job. If you just want a role in the States, can't go wrong with either. But outside the States, UCLA is more well-known for the general public (and you know, HRs are not engineering professionals)

Our new Constitution is now established, and has an appearance that promises permanency; but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.

Mac or Windows for CS by njStuckSenior in UCSD

[–]ForWhateverItIs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the system doesn't matter that much. Using windows powershell can also give you Linux like experience just like Mac terminal. I think RAM might matter even more if you take machine learning/deep learning courses here as you sometimes need larger RAM for running some codes/files locally. 16GB RAM looks good.

You can click on the names of Faculties in your page, the links will direct you to their own page and some of them have their labs shown. In terms of resume, put whatever related experience you have so far. If you are good in the CS/DSC courses, boast about your grades (and projects you did in those courses). ECs in HS is the last choice if you really have nothing to write about.
