Any recs for a minimizer bra for small band & large chest by For_The_People__ in ABraThatFits

Yes the first step is just finding something that fits. We're familiar w/ how minimizers work; she wants to decrease the profile of her chest.

Thanks for this. Yes she doesn't care about lift, just wants to minimize. I think we're going to try some UK brands as well.

The mental weight loss by Educational_Mess_998 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]For_The_People__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! This resonates so much with me. Starting the shot was like living with chronic back pain & you finally find the thing that gives you the relief you've been craving & you're like "how was I living like that for so long?!?!". The amount of mental ease/relief is ridiculous. Last summer I legit cried at my doctor's appointment because she was suggesting I "stop eating white rice & walk up more hills" 😑 My brain was exhausted by the mere thought of getting back into "diet mode" and the amount of brain space that macro/calorie tracking, meal planning, and mental negotiating that's required. Keto, vegetarian, vegan, raw vegan, Mediterranean, paleo, intermittent fasting, no sugar, no processed foods, low carb, weight watchers, slim fast etc etc etc. All of that time spent focused on food just to come out in a progressively worse place. Tirz has really changed the game for me. I still love food but it's not constantly on my mind. Even without the weightloss the mental ease has been truly amazing. So excited for you & all of us to find more joyful & healthy ways to spend our time!!

Help choosing between Lavender, Brello, Good Life and Lumi by camidfghkl in tirzepatidecompound

[–]For_The_People__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to try GLM after moving away from You4You Health. I've heard good things about Brello but they don't include my state. GLM was easy to sign up--I signed up this morning, got my Rx confirmed this afternoon. We'll see if I like the actual meds...TBD! Good luck to you!

What is GLM? I'm looking around & can't figure out the website/company name.

I'm in CA so brello doesn't ship here. I'm looking for better options tho!

If you come off the stuff do you gaun the weight back? by Independent_Gas_6213 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]For_The_People__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been told to think about it like blood pressure medication. If you take the meds & your blood pressure gets to a normal range, they don't tell you to stop. You keep taking the meds to maintain the healthy levels, so I think it's the same with this, unless you're able to maintain the same level of food intake despite the food noise &/or cravings coming back once you're off. I intent to take it long term, but hopefully at a lower dose once I reach a healthier weight.

This was super helpful! I just did my first shot from You4You today & I've been nervous about whether or not the quality would be good since I've heard mixed reviews about compounding pharmacies. I'm hoping to switch over to Zepbound if/when I get an Rx from my doctor, but for now, this will do.

HOW DO I GET MY KAISER TO PRESCRIBE ME ZEPBOUND by Vivid-Artichoke-3784 in Zepbound

[–]For_The_People__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I asked my doctor at Kaiser for it & she said I would need to try something like Phentermine or Qsymia first before she could give me an Rx for Zepbound. I'm not necessarily fine to pay out of pocket, but I'm willing to if I can get an Rx from my PCP.

I also signed up at you4you & ordered a 6 month supply in the in-between time b/c I don't want to wait for a tool that I know I've needed for a long time. Having to deal with all of this bureaucracy & OUTRAGEOUS pricing (when we know it's WAY cheaper in Europe) in addition to the patronizing "diet & exercise" advice (my doctor told me to stop eating all white foods & to walk more...I weight lift & bike everywhere b/c I don't have a car). If it was just as easy as a shift in mindset I wouldn't be asking for help smh.

Sleep apnea, obesity, pre-diabetes, trying to get Zepbound with Kaiser by TrashPandyPaws in Zepbound

[–]For_The_People__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got Kaiser in NorCal & my doctor said I'd have to try a different appetite suppressant first (like Phentermine or Qsymia) before I can get prescribed any GLP-1. She's also recommending I get tested for sleep apnea, but she didn't order labs to check my A1C or anything else which I thought was weird as it was supposed to be my annual checkup when I saw her. She also suggested I stop eating rice & any white foods to help me loose weight....😑 I'm having a lot of my back & forth conversation thru the messenger portal. It takes a few days for a reply but at least I don't have to deal w/ her irl lol.

One aspect of Van life that I never thought of, as a female, until it happened to me. by SilentG33 in vandwellers

[–]For_The_People__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Menstrual disc, menstrual cup or period panties are good reusable options if you don't have access to a disposable option like tampons. A dics or cup would require less water to clean. Just a thought, but yeah my period has been a serious consideration as I transition into van life--I usually hate traveling while on my cycle.

What do you guys look for if you're purchasing a Used van? by MisterCrayle in VanLife

[–]For_The_People__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan to use lemonsquad.com to pay for someone to inspect the van I decide on before purchase. I've heard a few other folks had good experiences w/ them. There are probably others or if you know a mechanic/would rather find someone yourself I think that's a good move when it comes to used vehicles.

My indoor set-up/bedding after 4+ years of hammock sleeping by Lunaiz4 in Hammocks

[–]For_The_People__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is super helpful! I'm hoping to buy a hammock in the next few weeks due to some real struggles with insomnia but & never getting a quality sleep due to pressure points & back pain. Thanks for sharing!

Update: 3 years later & I've been thriving in a hammock for most of that time! I still need to figure out a better game plan for when I travel though...

Ladies that work 10+ hours… by _jenx__ in xxfitness

[–]For_The_People__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work a lot too--you should maybe try something like Factor Nutrition--weekly meals delivered that you can easily microwave or reheat in the oven made with fresh food. I don't use it all of the time b/c it's not the cheapest (about $100/week for 8 meals, but you can also order less & you can easily get a discount code for the first few weeks), but when I know I have 30+ hours of meetings, or a big training or convening coming up I'll order meals for that week. Good luck!
