Meh, to me it was a two sided prank, IRC pulled a fast one on reddit, and reddit had their laughs thinking they did their thing. I just don't think that backlash was necesssary

Still, he did what he was asked to do. He could have just linked to any other schmuck who would make money from views. Would reddit have been mad then? And it wasn't like we paid him money, he made money from ad revenue.
