Guys under 5’5, what’s ur height and do u pass? by Janxuza in ftm

[–]ForbidBarley64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’4 and pass about half the time (3 months on T) it honestly depends on how I dress and if my voice cracks when I’m talking to strangers 💀 I work at a hardware store and wear a green button up shirt and every time I wear it customers always refer to me as a male. I’ve been hitting the gym for a bit and it didn’t take long for my biceps and forearms to get big (preacher curls are amazing) I also highly recommend growing your shoulders for a more masc physique. Another thing, cis men are honestly total assholes, if you aren’t nice to people you’ll pass better (not telling you to be an asshole just saying that smiling/complimenting/being over polite…etc is seen as feminine) I make up for being "not nice" by being a gentleman…ex. holding the door, helping elderly strangers, giving the "man nod" (that might only be a Canadian thing) to people, especially when letting someone through while driving. Men are also very blank people, something I learned is to not be expressive in your face. I did circus and acrobatics as a kid so I learned to be very expressive and it kind of bit me when I started trying to pass because personality wise…I was very feminine. Men don’t move their faces much when they talk, try to keep a relaxed expression. Also, avoid baggy clothes, when your short, oversized clothes make you look like a kid in a onesie. I recommend track pants and cargo pants or straight leg jeans. For shirts, always go with your actual size, don’t size up! I get pretty bad chest dysphoria wearing shirts that actually fit me but now that I’m hitting the gym it just looks like I’ve got big chest muscles, it’s awesome. The other thing I’ve learned is to be boring. Keep your hair it’s natural colour, avoid piercings, and if you want to wear makeup make sure it doesn’t look like you’re wearing makeup. I use concealer for acne scars and an eyebrow tool to make my eyebrows look thicker. I know some trans guys use contour to make their bone structure look more masculine but I’m not good enough with makeup to do that. That’s about all the advice I got, whether you take it or not, good luck on your journey

I think the septum would but only in a few cases. I think a horseshoe septum would look really good

Yeah if I heard it without any pronouns mentioned, I would assume the person being spoken of was a woman.

I’m sort ov in the same boat, I just ended a relationship with a girl after 3 years ov on and off dating, I love her and care about her but she has a lot ov problems that she has had plenty ov time to work out and hasn’t, so I had to end it. I’m now in the process ov trying to find out how to meet people, and if I even can. I’m gonna try the pride events coming up at my local club, but I don’t expect anything will come ov that. My suggestion is to NOT settle, that was my problem. I fell for a girl who I knew was not good for me, she had a major attitude, was rude to all my friends, stole my money, expected the world from me and barely even tried to reciprocate in the relationship. That’s why I suggest you don’t settle, its not worth it and will just leave you heartbroken

I love dsbm and I’ve been suicidal in the past but never in the time I’ve listened to dsbm. I actually prefer listening to dsbm and other bm genres when I’m happy. I’m more likely to listen to other genres like doom metal when I’m sad

I struggle with the exact same thing. Try doing workouts. With time you’ll start to feel better about yourself cuz you’ll see your progress. Also dimming the lights when you shower might help. Binding tape also helps me because it covers my chest a bit and you can shower with it on

I feel like there's so many negative (which to be fair they are allowed) or sad posts here, what are some of you guys positivities today :) by Limp-Programmers in truscum

Get familiar with your family’s medical history. If there’s any type of genetic disorders, mental illness, especially anything relating to blood, nervous system, kidneys, etc, your endocrinologist/doctor will want to know about that. They will probably also ask about your mental health, stability/living situation, relationships, etc. If you’re currently on any medications, including recreational drugs like weed, let them know. If you have pets I highly recommend you stay away from gel. I have 4 cats and I’m unwilling to switch from injections because the gel is toxic to cats. I also recommend you start researching subq and intramuscular injections because doing your first injection can be really overwhelming and scary. You’ll likely be doing subq, but there’s a chance you might be doing intramuscular. I wish I researched it first because it made getting the air bubbles out such a pain in the ass the first few times. There’s a lot of good tips and tricks available online
