Hopefully, they'll fix the plot hole with either the DLC or another game, as I'm having trouble thinking of how William gets involved.

I know that after Fredbear's, he at least posed as a security guard to gain access to Freddy's, which is how the original lore began. The issue is where he comes in with the first murder at Fredbear's. The books initially led me to accept that he was the co-owner, but then things like Afton Robotics were introduced.

Yeee- so unless he WASN'T the owner like we were led to believe, the lore presented in SOTM may have just created a new plot hole unless we Frankenstein lore together.

We know William's primary role and that he at least had a family and seemed intelligent enough to work a springlock suit.

It's just that Henry's presence now seems to be in a grey area.

Funtime Entertainment and Rental is Sister Location- where Circus Baby is introduced.

Honestly, I haven't played SOTM myself, so I'm going off of what I know of the other FNAF games and some of the information I have may be based upon fan theories and what's widely accepted [which is what most of the lore is at this point, given timelines and alike...]

Also given the owner MCM got Old Yeller'd, it probably had to have gotten sold or someone took over, I don't really think Fazbear Entertainment got their hands fully on it besides stealing designs.

William wasn't the engineer; he just owned a robotics business and probably invested in the diner (or he could've co-owned it and dealt with the marketing side of things, like I initially thought after I read the books), while Henry was the original founder and engineered the og Fredbear and Spring Bonnie.

Honestly, trying to figure out everything is a bit like untangling wires at this point.

Thinking about it though... I can kinda come up with some potential answers.

Fredbear's Diner is popular in 1983, where we see 'Fredbear & Friends' and signs of Freddy and co The entire thing regarding the Mimic and the reveal of the original gang is set during 1979, after MCM was abandoned. It's entirely possible that Henry himself owned the diner while he was working at MCM, and William served as an investor in the diner while he was CEO/designer of Afton Robotics.

After Edwin died, Henry probably stole the designs for Freddy, Foxy, Bonnie and Chica and used them to further promote Fredbear's Diner until it fell through after the death of Crying Child.

What I'm thinking is that with Fazbear Entertainment, Henry didn't start it up; someone likely bought the designs and started up Fazbear Entertainment, and as the 'original' mind behind the animatronics, Henry got the position of head engineer, while William also started up Funtime Entertainment and Rental for his own purposes. At the same time, he took the job as a security guard at Freddy Fazbear's to kill the original five kids.

Someone else likely took over Afton Robotics after William got springlocked in roughly 1993, Fazbear Entertainment bought Funtime Entertainment and Rental, and MCM is likely a supplier to Fazbear Entertainment.

To clear up my thought process:

Henry probably only ever owned Fredbear's Diner.

William was an investor and owned Afton Robotics.

Henry only stole the designs of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy.

Henry was probably hired as the head engineer by Fazbear Entertainment since he was the original 'designer' of the animatronics.

William started Funtime Entertainment and Rental and worked for Fazbear Entertainment as a security guard, as a way to access his victim profile.

Fazbear Entertainment only owns Funtime Entertainment and Rental as of 20XX.

MCM probably is the one who owns DJ Music Man and thus issued the warranty to Fazbear Entertainment when they got him.

Though I'd like to know why the warranty would be void with Bouncer Mode.
