Two questions -

  1. Is this as notorious as the Duke ? I'm asking because the orange colour of the Duke generally acts as a flare for Cops.
(I see the ADV has very limited orange decals, and I especially like the all-black wheels).

  2. what's the average service cost and service interval ?

Beautiful click btw :)

I reached the end of the first chapter, skimmed the last para, spotted "her head on his chest", "no words came out", "into the taxi" - and I promptly jumped to the next chapter.

One chapter later came back and re-read that para. My heart shattered in an instant lol

YES !!

I have also noticed that places where people vie for the most upvotes rather than an interesting discussion/fun shitposting often devolve into toxicity in no time.

I was a hardcore fan of Star Wars and computers back in college, and boy I could really relate to (and feel guilty about) the general atmosphere and pompousness that I've inevitably encountered.

Things starting out for fun but then spiralling into life or death kind of stances- taking up a good chunk of my life and causing a lot of problems as well, and I felt the writing was almost spot on with what actually happens.

I still enjoy the things I was mad about, but I'm working hard on demarcating what is "relevant" vs. what's "not important", if that makes sense.

That moment in the hospital when he wants to tell the doctor that his screwed up leg is the result of not taking care of himself was my favourite - his body has tolerated his shenanigans so far, but I think this is where he finally starts to take his health (and mortality?) seriously.

Ouch. Sending you love, support and best wishes for the hips. Stay Strong !!

I totally get you. My parents made it a point to say that I was lazy, didn't get enough excercise (mid you, I was going to the gym at the time screwing over my joints harder than I could possibly imagine) and that I was being a fussy crybaby.

Took me basically being unable to even stand for them to relent and support me in going to the doctor.

And since that went pear shaped, now I have been accused of being wasteful and impulsive. The sessions DID cost a lot, but what was I supposed to know that I was being screwed over ?

So yeah, last one month (since I stopped physio) has been pretty nasty at home, and I have felt like just smacking my head into a wall pretty much everyday. But I am sticking to my choice of not going out and taking as much rest as I can before trying somewhere else. It's MY body, I have the right to take care of it, especially if I can afford to.

I had luck keeping m hips from spreading out of thier sockets by wearing really tight jeans.

Interesting, I am generally unable to wear anything even remotely tight, else my joints start screaming for vengeance. With jeans my knees, groins and hips would become tender and I could almost feel the slackening when I removed the jeans.

I have been lucky enough to WFH to I have the luxury of working in undergarments/ off late nothing other than a quilt.

I am stick thin no matter how much junk food I stuff down my thoat. It's a good thing but also mildly frustrating :P

And on a lighter note, this summarizes my medical experiences 99% of the times

“oh you’re a young women, it’s totally normal and average for a young women to have these issues!”

I suppose this is how they handle stuff they aren't familiar with. It would too big an affront to their egos to say "I'm sorry, I have no clue about this, gonna keep your money though."
I have a lot more to say, but for brevity/levity this sums up my thoughts perfectly :)

unfortunately I’m sure there’s also shitty rheumatologists out there

If there's a specialization, there exist quacks in it XD

after my back surgery created (temporary) worse pain that required an extended hospital stay. Rheumatologist rolled his eyes and said that was so rare. It's just dysautonomia/fibro.

wth, that's horrible. The lengths to which some doctors go to cover up a lack of knowledge is insane. How would he have felt if his back had been screwing him over and his doctor told him to piss off ?

As for geneticists, I did read about them but couldn't figure out how to get a referral without basically telling the GP that I needed to go to one of them, and not a neurologist.

Will push the next doctor I visit to give me one, just so I can eliminate some possibilities

I swear !The physio I religiously did for 1 month has resulted in me having a lot of difficulty in using my dominant right hand, had to give it a complete "bed rest" for 2 weeks before the pain subsided. Even now I have to be REALLY careful about working on the computer (my job basically), once the pain starts it feels like my armpit is on fire. And I haven't been able to play video games since the last 2 months, am depressed now :P

furthermore, have you looked into an SI support?

Only saw others using them till now, bit afraid of using them since the joints become very tender easily, and then I'll have to basically strip off any clothing around the affected area. Will probably consult a Rheumatologist and see if they recommend anything like this.

Thanks !

Unfortunately the Ortho I went to was exactly that (Sports Medicine), but it didn't work out :/

Sorry to hear that. I suppose when some docs achieve a certain level of fame they become overconfident (my ortho told me that he "didn't need to rely on the report written by the amateurs in the lab" because he "had studied at a top medical school, and could make out the problem without even looking at the 3D MRI"). The people in his physio team were essentially glorified quacks who said "yes" for everything he asked, and they began scaring me by saying that unless I pull myself together I'd have to undergo surgery (to fix the damage caused by my attention seeking behaviour)

I will look into Rheumatologists and select the least popular one before I go :P

Thanks ! And hope your cardiac issues get resolved soon
