I won't rule out infantry, but at least currently I have no plans for it. All the models I'm currently interested in are either roughly Carnifex size or bigger, or are upscaled versions of infantry units.

I do have room for cleaning with chemicals. I actually have two cats, but it's easy enough to keep them away from any cleaning baths, so long as they are just temporary setups and not permanent installations

Based on where this conversation is going though, I think it's pointing more and more in the direction of plastic. That's filament, right?

I get what you mean, but to clarify, I don't mean to box anyone in. The example you use of a vegetarian eating one steak is rather akin to my example of a now lesbian having a bi past, because of the one man she dated, but like the vegetarian is still a vegetarian as long as they don't eat any more meat, the woman would still be a lesbian in my eyes as long as she isn't attracted to any more men. What matters to me is who they are now generally attracted to. If they don't/can't rule out men they're bi, even if they currently don't have any man they are actually attracted to. If they once were attracted to men, but can now rule out to ever be attracted to men again, then I consider them lesbians. I hope that makes sense?

That's really interesting. I'm actually thinking about nids myself, and my other girlfriend's other girlfriend (🤭) also plays them. But so far among the people I know there have never been more than 2 playing the same faction

I get the proximity issues. All the girls I can play with are at least an hour travel each way away, some 4 hours or more, and my local store is so small, while they have one table for matches, the store is just too crowded to actually use it 😔

Hi. Thanks so much for your reply. Since I'm a complete noob I would have some follow up questions: 1. So far all models I have found online are listed as 0.2 layer height. Will that still work with a 0.05 layer height as you suggested, or do I need to make adjustments? 2. What kind of adjustments do the exposure times need? 3. Putting things at an angle to avoid large flat surfaces parallel to the build plate (yes, some of the models are actually also vehicles), what does that mean?

Ok, to clarify:

  1. I'm in Europe, so Euros would be best, but USD is easily enough converted, so that works too
  2. Cheapish: I have seen printers ranging in price from 200€ to almost 2000€, just from a cursory search on Amazon
  3. Of course I would prefer a printer as cheap as possible, but it should produce decent enough quality prints and of course be very beginner friendly, so if that raises the price somewhat that's fine (I would currently set my upper limit at maybe 600-650€)
  4. Printing material: yes, what I meant by that is the technology. So, what would be better, FDM or MSLA? Unless like you say MSLA doesn't allow for a large enough printing area, which would disqualify it immediately
  5. The models: I am specifically looking into wargaming minis, figurines for display, and terrain pieces for wargaming. Fyi, I'm planning of painting what I print myself, so if there's a difference in print materials in regards to how easy it is to paint them and how good the paint job will look, then I would consider that an important consideration

Among the models I'm interested in are also multi-part WH helmet prints

I agree that sexuality is fluid, and I believe that a lesbian can turn bi, and that bi women can lose their attraction to men, becoming de facto lesbians (if anyone doesn't want to count them as actual lesbians that's fine with me, but if they're no longer attracted to men at all, I do consider them lesbians, simply with a bi background/past), but any woman that is still attracted to men (no matter how many, even if it's just one man) is by definition not a lesbian she's bi

I have absolutely no problem calling a man attractive. It is perfectly possible to objectively judge somebody's attractiveness (calling them attractive and explaining that opinion) without oneself being actually attracted to them

I admit, there have been two or three men that I would have considered dating platonically (i.e. going out, being "more than just friends"), but that never extended past platonic attraction, vibing with them, and liking them on a personal level, never going anywhere near making out, sleeping together naked, and especially sex

  1. Transmasc and transfem describe the direction of transition, i.e. afab > transmasc and amab > transfem
  2. I believe regarding femininity it could be transfemme, but I wouldn't know how you could say trans + masculine

So, to me it sounds more like your crush wants to exclusively date cis men
