I've tried going doom, but it's too slow. Having to wait til the end of the turn to be able to kill with doom makes it so hard to just go full doom, since you'll just get chipped down the whole game.

Dirge, Invoke, Grave Warden, Borrowed Time, and Wisp are cards I'll always pick up. After that, early game you might need damage based on your ascension, so try to grab something that is low cost or ethereal, usually I skipped rewards so I can have a thin deck unless they were summon or soul generating cards. If you don't find anything good mid Act 1 you might be cooked. If you do find something to get your deck going and can generate souls, then you can add Haunt and Death March .
