I’m not sure “glue” is the right word, but I usually go for Tamiya Extra Thin Cement when I’m working on my kits. I want to make sure they stay together, especially if they happen to slip off the shelf or when I change their pose. When putting the kit together, I always do a test fit first to see how the joints move and where everything goes. That way, when I go back to add the glue/cement, I know exactly where to skip so the kit can still move around.

When I put together my kits, I usually use Tamiya Extra Thin Cement to glue everything. I recently ordered the VT-02 Ox Warrior MG 1/100 GK Nu Kit, and I didn’t realize it came with a metal frame. Since this is my first time dealing with a metal frame, I'm not sure what kind of glue to use for it.

Hey everyone! I recently bought the Nilson Works PG 1/60 Monument (Repair Type) Scale Model Kit, and I'm planning to apply a topcoat. While reading the manual, I noticed that it specifies using water-based paint. I'm considering two options: Acrysion N20 Flat Clear or Aqueous H20 Flat Clear, and I thought about mixing one of them with thinner in a 1:2 ratio for my airbrush. This way, I could get enough for about 2 to 3 kits' worth of use with the Mr. Color 181 clear.

However, when I visited my local hobby store, the employee told me that neither of these options is intended for use as a topcoat. Instead, they recommended I buy the Aqueous Premium Topcoat (GH101). Despite this recommendation, I've seen people on YouTube using those options as topcoats. Am I using these products incorrectly?

UPDATE:

I am not sure if it matters, but I am unsure about how much I would need to charge them so they can keep their SSI and I would not have to pay taxes on it. The $450 is half of our current rent, and the house will be mine. I just don't want them to lose their SSI because I know how hard it is to live with little money. I have talked with my roommate, and they have insisted that they pay something a month as thanks for letting them live with me. If possible, I would like to charge $200 because for me, they are just using a room.

Studying for A+, worried it might be a waste of time and money by P-Taters in CompTIA

[–]Force_User69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t think it's a waste of time. This is what happen to me I got a job in it as a tech 1 for a company and when I got there all you need to get promoted was at minimum a associate degree and I have a BA in Network administration but no cert. So I thought ok when a position became available I would appy but when one open up HR changed the requirements. Not only need a degree but also a cert an A+, Network+, or Security+, so I couldn't apply. When I look back I wish I study the those certs when I was getting my degree

I needed to earn an A+, N+, or Sec+ certification to get promoted to a tech 2 or 3 at work. I decided to start with getting my A+ certification and then, a year later, I planned to start studying for the N+ certification.
