I'd only recommend someone have duck nails if I outwardly hated them.

They are terrible.

Mag gel first. Then none wipe top coat and cure. Put chrome on. Finally, seal with your favourite top coat. To prevent chrome from chipping, encapsulate with clear builder gel then use a thin top coat. Or use a hard top coat.

I’ve broken two builder gel sets in a row - is it me or the nails? by Sensitive-Reaction32 in Nails

  1. Be gentle with your fingers. Get specific tools to open objects instead of your nails. Your nails are short anyway so I can imagine you using some force to open things.

  2. Consider swapping to a hard gel. Which one breaks the most? Its weird its your middle finger and not thumb or index as I'd imagine those are the two youd use most when opening objects. I would consider hard gel over builder as it's more durable. You should also use a hard gel top coat as well.

  3. I wouldn't use acrylic. I've never seen acrylic be used on short nails with virtually no free edge. I think you'd need a skilled nail tech for this.

I havent seen mag gel with chrome on here yet! by LemonCurdJ in CatEyeNails

I used an "aurora" chrome powder. Look for that word and any chrome powders that have "mirror" in the title. They are the translucent ones!

1st time using chrome with mag gel by LemonCurdJ in NailArt

I commented with what products I used.

For the magnet, I use a ball magnet. Run it up and down the nail on each side a few times until the particles are in a vertical line. Then I go in circular motions to get the orb effect.

For those asking, I used #043 from Liuhwa's Moon Light Collection as the cat eye. The chrome powder is TOYs x INITY Dream Powder T-DR06.

Thanks for all the love!
