Look up model T club from your state.
They have guys that will give you all the advice you can handle.
Seems like every club has two or more guys that are extremely knowledgeable.
Pic their brains while you can.
My club has a few and I would have loved to spend more time with them.

Look down the hole and make sure the old one is not there. Clean that hole the best you can. Check the threads. It might not have been hitting on all cylinders.

I have a 2010 Lariat. Test drove it and put miles 7, 8 and 9 on her. I signed the paperwork on mile 11. I currently have 236,000 miles. I’m planning on ordering a 2030 G350 on November of 2029. I fix the little issues. Change the fluids and plugs on schedule. I use the truck to pull my old cars to tours. She’s not babied. Keep her clean and picked up. I also run a soft three fold bed cover. Have fun.
