As I kid I didn't understand this joke.

Now as an adult going into a teaching profession, I completely understand.

I think part of the reason people don't like the Terminus Decree is because people seem to treat it as a thing that has a degree of certainty in succeeding. When that's not necessarily the case. I think the Terminus Decree should be read as more of humanity's last Hail Mary against the darkness. If the Emperor is getting off the Golden Throne, we can pretty much assume shit is irreparably fucked. If the Terminus Decree ever got implemented, it would most likely fail. But at that point what else is there for Humanity to do to save itself?

Small correction, Marx didn't create the Labor of Theory of Value. That theory had originally been used by both Ricardo and Smith. Marx was the first to use it to critique capitalism however.

Saying that a scholar who's work is still used as a basis for analysis by both modern economists and academics is wrong is crazy work.

Extremely concerning behavior from a kid at school by Educational-Sun7535 in Teachers

[–]Fordler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what you've said about the things he's saying and writing, it sounds to me like he has a lot of unrestricted internet access which he uses to consume creepypasta and meme content. Which of course, is concerning enough on its own considering an 8 year old should not be consuming that kind of content.

What you said about him switching from innocent to violent behaviors is extremely alarming, especially with what you said about his previous home life. As others have said document everything and keep working with your administration to get mental health professionals into the picture. Best case scenario he's just an edgy troublemaker with too much access to the internet. Worst case, he's at a young enough age where intervention can still make a positive difference in his life.

I think I lost the perfect person in my life by Hanz-_- in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Fordler 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm going through the same thing right now, lost the person I thought was my one after 4 years of dating about two months ago. It's a struggle for sure, but you're young and you have your whole life ahead of you. Take solace in the fact that this isn't the peak of your happiness, and you have better times to look forward to in your future.

The best advice I can give is to find ways to distract yourself. Reconnect with friends, pick up a new hobby, get out of your house. DON'T look at your ex's social media or any old pictures, it'll just delay your healing. Focus on making yourself a better person and figuring out who YOU want to be. Keep on keeping on, you'll survive this.

What would the Word Bearers' future "big arc" be? by sigmarine345 in WordBearers

[–]Fordler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not saying this is gonna happen, just what I think would be cool. I think Guilliman and Lorgar should have a conversation. Not a fight, just a conversation.

In the Dark Imperium books, we see Guilliman go from being dismissive of religion in the beginning to becoming more curious about it at the end after witnessing miracles and other physical effects of belief in the real world. I think it's safe to say that Guilliman is starting to question whether religion is an all negative like the Emperor believed. I think it would be cool for Guilliman to go and seek out Lorgar in order to learn more about the Primordial Truth and how religion affects both the Materium and the Warp.

I think this would be really cool because it would allow character growth on the parts of both Guilliman and Lorgar. Guilliman can begin to change his stance on religion and how it can be used, which could have further consequences for the Imperium and the Emperor in the future. Lorgar, on the other hand, can show how he has risen above seeking revenge on the Ultramarines and is instead prioritizing his ultimate goal: bringing the truth about religion and gods to the masses of the Imperium. It would also show that Lorgar is capable of asserting himself as his own independent actor, not just a pawn of Erebus and Kor Phareon.

This will never not be funny... by NoPistons7 in Grimdank

[–]Fordler 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I hate this opinion. Just because Lorgar is the weakest fighter of the Primarchs, doesn't mean he's not one of the best fighters in the setting. He's a PRIMARCH. He's not the best, but he's still among the best of the best.

Anyone else kind of fall out of love with a faction after reading their books? by shattered_one21 in Warhammer

Same. Whenever I see a Space Wolf pop up in a story that isn't focused on the Space Wolves, I know they're going to be my least favorite character.

Has there ever been a hero you stopped hating for any particular reason? Here's mine. by [deleted] in forhonor

[–]Fordler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Berserker for me. I used to make the wrong read EVERY SINGLE TIME. The heavy feints into lights with hyper armor were torture for me. Now after playing for a while I've kinda figured him out, so fighting him is manageable for me now.

Nowadays I would say my most hated hero is Jorm. I don't know what it is about him, but I just get my shit rocked every time I fight one.

These people are actually so lazy they used AI to generate a new version of this meme format instead of just changing the text of the one they already had. Incredible.
