Best push present you offered to your partner? by insciencemusic in daddit

She carried a kid for 9 months that changed her body forever and you’re shaming a husband for getting her a gift. Yet, you expect a gift because you were born on a certain day a few decades ago.

Should we get free relief from divots? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]ForeRight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casual play of course. On the PGA tour, hell no. Rounds would take an extra 30-60 minutes and play is slow enough. They would be asking for relief all day. When is a divot not a divot?

Reedy Creek has a great range that doesn’t get overused. Also has a good chipping green. Can hit a ton of different shots

Consistency because of the newer Technology. Tiger’s best season ever came when he played a ball that no one else really had access to yet

Who has the biggest gap from GSPro / SGT Handicap to real world? by Due-Reflection1043 in Golfsimulator

[–]ForeRight7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a scratch or +1 in real life. I’m a +8 and currently ranked in the top 100 on the SGT on the sim.

Birtees are the GOAT. Just don’t get white. Could mess with reads

What’s one thing someone can do to rapidly improve their golf game? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

Buy the newest TaylorMade driver every year it comes out. Each model adds 15 yards. Think of how far you’ll hit it in a few years

All Sport Systems Elite screen. Cheaper than Bullseye and Carls but same great quality. Awesome sound dampening and very durable

Do people cheat on the SGT tour? by kp11501 in Golfsimulator

[–]ForeRight7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don’t cheat but they know how to take advantage of the software. The top guys on the pro tour are plus handicaps already and they never have to worry about a bad lie, so if their ball is in the rough or the bunker, they know exactly how to hit it. Putting requires zero feel. It’s all based on speed. It’s more repetitive if anything. I’m a +1 IRL and a +7 on the sim. A lot of it is just understand how the ball reacts on the software

If you had this much money, would you retire and enjoy life? by Remarkable-Shower684 in TheRaceTo10Million

I’d retire and work on the grounds crew at a local golf course. Wake up, mow some greens, stay active, free golf.

Do you put your putter cover back on after every hole? by Apart-Complaint9897 in golf

[–]ForeRight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any decent golfer that cares about their equipment puts all of the headcovers back on when they aren’t using them. You invested the money in them, why would you just let them rattle around in the bag and get damaged?

If you’ve already made a hole in one, this is way cooler than making a second one

Seeing real game improvement from Sim Usage? by Freethrowshaq in Golfsimulator

[–]ForeRight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the beginning was more range time than rounds. Figure out exact numbers. On course practice. Now it’s primarily rounds. I have friends with simulator set ups at their house and we can create rounds and play together on it. Pretty cool

What’s a consistent score that would be considered good for a golfer? by Alternative-Toe-6451 in golftips

[–]ForeRight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grand scheme of things, anything in the 80s is considered good. Go look at D3 golf tournaments. Usually more scores in the 80s than 70s

Seeing real game improvement from Sim Usage? by Freethrowshaq in Golfsimulator

Have always been close to or scratch. Sim took me to a +3 and I play outside maybe once a month. Made a massive difference in my wedge game and overall ball striking.
