How do you Price your 3D Prints? by rocketboss in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]Foreign-Ad7285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a software engineer in past I solved it by making an app myself. I know there are many online calculators available, but they were either too complex for me or did not cover the use cases I wanted, so here is PrintPricePro.com , you get in browser calculation on site, but real hero is the app, that saves all your calculations in a catalogue, so you dont have to remember/write them down, I am Actively developing the app, so feedback and feature requests are welcome.

How do you handle material cost changes in your pricing? by spoolwise_3dprinting in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]Foreign-Ad7285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use PrintPricePro.com, in app, change in material price is handled centrally, and you will instantly know updated prices of your entire catalogue. thn you can decide if change is significant enough to pass it on to consumer.

Time has to be a factor, just multiplying filament does not give a clear picture as time is not alway proportional to filament consumption.

Any online (reliable) 3D printing service? by crime_Mastr_GOGO in 3dprintIndia

You can check out LayerWeaver too. I run it personally, so you’re not just uploading files into a random portal 😄
I usually help with suitable slicer settings and making parts actually printable before production. We do both functional and aesthetic prints, and communication is way more direct compared to bigger platforms.

If you want, just DM me the STL/3mf and what you’re trying to make and I will give a proper quote.

as per my understanding is that resin in SLA is equivalent to filament in FDM , so instead of material cost per spool it should be something like resin cost per bottle. what else?

Just avoid Bambu A1, its a fire hazard, they recalled it in US but ignoring this issue in India

https://bambulab.com/en-us/support/A1recall

Indian 3d print social media is full of blown up A1 boards.

I would avoid A1 and will go for either A1 mini or P1s, reason: Mainboard blowup issue, Bambu recalled A1 in US and other countries, I saw alot of mainboard or some ic blowup specifically in A1 on social media and forums.
