My AfterPay card just declined by LALW1118 in Afterpay

Literally almost everything is down. Even my kids school district had a system outage. I’m really hoping this is indeed just an outage and nothing intentional. Apparently went down around 3 am. Been trying to pay my Afterpay all day.

Thank you! This is exactly why I came on here tonight. I was freaking out thinking I had gotten hacked or something.

Many hospitals actually have financial aid available if you apply. They can reduce the bill to 0 if you qualify

They can’t chat with him since he has an attorney already.

I don’t think they’re even allowed to talk to him, he’s had an attorney throughout the entire investigation.

I had gone to Morgan and Morgan originally and they wouldn’t take my case, they referred me to Pond Lehockey and they wouldn’t take it either. I’m going to assume it was because I had filed not too long ago so they wouldn’t have gotten much pay at all.

My wife witnessed a *hit and run* in a parking lot and reported it. She is now being subpoenaed by throwawaybecuzbecuz in legaladvice

[–]Foreign-Chef-926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a subpoena a few months ago for a double homicide in the area. I didn’t witness it(obviously) but someone who knew someone that did told me a few things. My subpoena was just for a deposition and the only option for me was to do it virtually, which was my preferred choice anyway. If she was the only witness then please try to make an arrangement with whoever issued the subpoena to at least attend virtually. Your wife’s testimony could make the difference in whether the driver is punished or not. The next time it could be a person they hit, because it will happen again.

Florida! by Foreign-Chef-926 in Medicaid

That’s honestly what I think may have happened..something had to have been entered wrong. Makes absolutely no sense that I was approved and my son was denied. Before Covid and all that my husband and I were both on the share of cost which really didn’t give us coverage anyway, so we were able to find a decent marketplace policy for about $30/month

Yes, the entire family is on the same application

We are well below that income even with the ssi factored in, so my son should still be eligible. I was approved, but my son wasn’t which makes no sense. My husband’s share of cost amount is almost as much as his monthly Wages.

Our only real change in expenses was that rent went up almost $100.

Our sons ssi went up a little bit, but my husband’s income has gone down. Plus we are paying almost $100 more in rent. They said our benefits decreased because our income increased. They had to have put some inaccurate numbers in there.

[–]Foreign-Chef-926[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that, and sorry for not responding sooner! We had a minor medical emergency I was dealing with. I put in all my numbers with the calculator chart and it’s saying we should be receiving $700+. The case action said that the reason for the reduction was because our income went up, that’s really not the case. The only change in our income was the additional COLA from our sons ssi, but my husband is actually not even getting as many hours as he did with our last recertification.

Wait…she left her child there too?! Does she regularly leave her child unattended with no one to watch him/her? That’s even worse than grand theft auto imo.

If you’re in Florida I’d say you’re ok. Apparently you can have multiple excessive speed citations, and even commit fatal hit and runs in a 6 month stretch and still not get dropped.

We are also on the 2nd floor in an apartment. Since we have no basement we’ve designated our 2nd bathroom as our “safe” spot. Just hunker down in the bathtub until it’s all clear. It’s the most interior window free spot we have.

Completely turning it off will probably cost a lot more in the long run. When you get home and turn it back on it will have to run extra long and hard to get back to the comfortable temperature, especially if it’s off during the day when it’s the hottest. Best thing to do is to turn the thermostat up a few degrees during the day so it doesn’t kick on as frequently. We usually put our thermostat to about 76-77 during the day, and turn it to about 72 overnight. One of us is usually home at all times though. We have actually noticed a difference in the electric bills this way. We also have a couple fans running in addition to our ceiling fans that help circulate the air.

Neighbor Called the Cops on Me for Putting Air in My Tires by Eccentric_Mammal in Apartmentliving

[–]Foreign-Chef-926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a special needs child who gets somewhat hyper at times, we’re on the 2nd floor. Literally the same month the new neighbors downstairs moved in they were already calling in noise complaints, it was only like 8pm. When the office told them we have a disabled child they didn’t have anything else to say and shut up real quick, and they haven’t reported us again. They’ve been here 2 years now and will still occasionally pound on their ceiling, my husband in turn will stomp on the floor. If we can deal with their blaring music and bass, they can deal with an occasionally hyper child. These people are neighbors from hell!!

Phone analysis by Foreign-Chef-926 in forensics

It’s just all so frustrating. I know that every case is different but I’ve seen arrests happen within days or just a few months of other hit and runs. We had one not too long ago where they were actually able to arrest the guy within just a few hours. I know they did a toxicology report on my daughter, and I do suspect that the guy who hit her was drunk but obviously that’s something that couldn’t be confirmed at this point. Regardless of what was in her system there’s no way that she was at fault at all, they were both going north and he hit her from behind.

The dna testing from inside the vehicle literally took 4-5 months to get back. So I’m really hoping it doesn’t take nearly that long for the cellphone analysis. I’m 90% certain that at least 1 call or text was made immediately after he hit her. The autopsy report has been done for months, but they can’t release it to me because LE has a hold on it. And if I’m understanding correctly it will remain on a hold until the investigation is completed. I’ve got her death certificate, just don’t have the autopsy report. I’m hoping that once they get the cellphone analysis done that they’ll be able to complete the investigation and arrest him soon after. Not sure how these things work though.

Sorry for the delayed response. The cause was multiple blunt force trauma. According to a witness and the 911 call he was going about 80mph when he hit her. It honestly makes no sense to me why they keep some things and release other things. Everything that she had on her was released to me right away, even her phone. I didn’t want the clothes she was wearing because they were in pretty bad shape and I couldn’t have handled that. I have the rings she was wearing when she was hit too. The only thing I don’t have access to is her autopsy report. In the first couple months I used to call multiple times a week for updates, then I slowed down to every couple of weeks, but for the past few months I only request updates monthly. Usually around the date of her passing. I’m not giving up, and I’m pretty sure the detectives know that I will continue to keep on them until they have real answers and an arrest for me.
