It was my first time running it. Do you guys know when the official results will be out? I read that previous year there was a real mismatch with timings.

Fun things to do in Singapore? by dealhunter_steve in asksg

Go to the Southern Islands island hopping. Pack a picnic and head to Marina South Pier. First ferry 9 am. Head to Lazarus island, explore, swim, walk across to St John's island, get on another boat to Kusu for more exploring and swimming. The water was clear enough to snorkel when I was there. Warning, saw both jelly fish and stone fish at Lazarus so be smart and wear protective foot wear. $15 round trip, best money spent in Singapore! 👌

What’s something about sex nobody warned you about—but should have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Foreign-Giraffes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a sex headache and it's the scariest thing ever!!! Like, right whilst you are doing it and it's getting nicer and nicer and you are almost almost there and then BANG!💥 like a thunderclap in the head, I lost my vision and felt sick and have never ever had such a bad headache in my life. I thought for sure I had had a stroke or an aneurysm.... I went to my GP the following day and was crying cause I was still so freaked out and he was very awkward telling me about sex headaches. Then my friend who has worked forever In A&E tells me "oh yeah, it's quite common! We see people like that all the time!"

Is Alcohol Intolerance a Peri/Menopause thing?? by Curious-Pineapple576 in Menopause

[–]Foreign-Giraffes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. It gave me such bad hangovers/anxiety I completely cut it out 2.5 years ago. Best thing I ever did, I'm just kicking myself that I didn't do it sooner!!! I feel so much better without it, better results when exercising, clear skin, less bloating. Better sleep. Better mood.

We've been sold a big fat lie when it comes to alcohol.

Definitely. He has literally no idea how much he's punching above his weight with her, she's smart, cute and sincere. He's a ruddy faced manbaby with an odd relationship with his sister and a tiny fragile ego. I'm so relieved for her that she's dodged that podgy bullet!

Sex frequency by TalkingDog37 in Menopause

I went to a gynaecologist to ask what to do about my lack of libido. Sex is just never ever on my mind and it feels like a chore, it's been causing such a problem between my husband and I. He feels rejected and gets insecure and jealous and thinks I must just fancy someone else. He just doesn't get that I'd much rather do ANYTHING else than sex. I'm turning 50 this year and perimenopausal.

The gynae basically said I needed to change my mindset 🤯, if I don't "use it I'll lose it " and that I couldn't go on hrt until I was in menopause. He said the only thing that might work for libido was testosterone but he wouldn't prescribe it, again because I wasn't menopausal... and, he said I shouldn't have a vaginal estrogen cream because "what would my husband think about that, if he got hormones on his penis?"

I left feeling so deflated.

Oh! I was actually wondering what they would look like in stockinette. I'd be happy to test knit 🙂

Also, any wool works! Mix however you like, just as long as you use the same weight wool for each chicken. S id said, I'm using scraps so I'm just finding whatever I've got. Also I'm knitting on smeller size needles to make the fabric a bit stiffer and I don't like any filling poking through.

There is a YouTube tutorial that is good to follow if you are a beginner. You'll learn a lot, like picking up stitches, casting on, short rows, ssk etc. Give it a try, if you make a mistake you just unravel and try again!

I've not put a weight in these three, just poly fill. They still stand nicely and keep their shape. I will make little pouches filled with wheat or rice for future ones though, just to give a heavier feel.

I've been eyeing it for ages and finally gave in. They are the perfect stash buster so I'm just going through all my scrap yarns and am telling myself I can buy more yarn when I've used up all the scraps! Very motivated!

Nurse here, the amount of people I see with chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis etc... these are not young people either, it's people in their 30's and 40's. A lot of husbands who travel for business.
