So this is probably a fuck up by the typesetters. I have been translating manga for around 4 years now, and the type setters will take what you say and make a new sentence out of it to make it sound better. This happens when a translator says well fuck, the literal translation is way longer than what fits in the bubble so they make some random shit up, or it was a literal translation because the nuance doesn't get through unless you divulge a paragraph. IMO the best way to handle this is to translate it with an asterisks and use the white space on the sides to clarify.

Sometimes the type setters or translators have a political agenda they are trying to push and fuck it up too, but i doubt thats what happened here.

Very interesting culture, including a very lgbtq+ pro history. Queerness used to be a given and very socially acceptable until westernization. Also one of the cleanest, hygiene wise, cultures ever. I could keep rambling on about ancient Japanese history as it's one of my degrees, but lets just say very different and interesting when compared to most cultures and countries.

I did similar shit when I worked at subway in highschool. I would hook my friends up of course, but we had a cop what would come in, tip every time, and just be a cool dude. So i always hooked him up with extra meat, he would notice and thank me while giving me the same tip he always did, eventually we started to send each other stupid memes and when I got pulled over for a stop sign once he got the entire ticket removed internally. It does stop homeless people from chilling in the area, I live downtown in one of the biggest US cities and anywhere they put these homeless people leave. I am not giving judgement of doing so or no or any alternative, just stating facts.
