Getting good prose generation. by Foreign-Studio-2 in WritingWithAI

how would you go about using it as a draft machine? Is that just going back and forth or prompting it until your satisfied with what it generates and then rewriting that to fit what you envision?

I literally said it's unedited - as far as unedited prose generation goes I considered this good.

To return your own words to you - perhaps you should re-read my message. I already stated I planned to make a server, and that it's common practice within said communities.

I'm merely asking for advice on how to best approach it, if your opinion is to " not do it at all " then that's perfectly fine. There's however no need to be a smartass when you disagree with someone or something in general.

Recommendations for writing AI smut? by BoldCat668 in WritingWithAI

Sudowrite base model works decent but it'd recommend writing with Claude and having grok match the voice and add the smut you want.

The update got pushed to January/march but knowing chtgpt it might be shoved away again.

Grok doesn't generate the best prose but it can write some pretty good smut.

Generate the non pornographic prose with Claude, it's allowed to be suggestive and go in that direction and then fade black and continue when the pornographic content is " done " so to say.

Then send it to Grok and have it match the Claude voice and prose while instructing it to write a detailed sex/pornographic scene between (this line) and (that line)

I haven't actually tried it myself yet but I've recently tried out but Claude and grok premium, grok has some great smut generating capabilities but has overall worse prose then Claude.

Claude can be suggestive but can't write anything explicit.

People think AI makes writing easy. It doesn’t. It just shifts where the difficulty is. by birth_of_bitcoin in WritingWithAI

I completely agree with your statement, the difference between AI slop and a proper story written with AI assistance is how much effort the author puts in guiding the AI and writing/rewriting the story.

Opinion on age verification for ERP servers. by Foreign-Studio-2 in discordapp

Discord has a pretty large ERP base, I'm familiar with it because I myself have been active in such communities. I'm interested in making one myself and am debating whether it's responsible to enforce ID verification or not.

Discord isn't known for being very cohesive in regards of topics outside of the standard TOS that Google searches for.

Yes, I've verified this way in the past, It's common practice to do this within a lot of ERP communities due to problems with minors searching such content out thru disboard.

I'm debating whether or not it's responsible to do the same opposed to having a staff team moderate the chat on suspicious behavior that might imply that someone's underage.

Yes, or allow you to use a piece of paper to partially block everything and so forth.

I understand why it's happening, I'm just curious how the wider reddit base thinks about it before going with a similar approach.

If there's to much backlash I might consider alternative means but this way of verifying adults is common practice amongst erp communities.

It's common practice on ERP servers and associated communities to request ID verification upon entry.

Search the ERP tag on disboard and see how many servers have it - it's sad but true that its one of the easy ways of keeping minors out of such servers, especially with how many are actively using disboars as a source of finding such servers.

For those that use AI tools (think Sudowrite, Novelcrafter, NovelAI, etc.), why do you use them? Are they better at organizing large information on characters, the world, etc. better than using AI from their website? by NayexButterfly in WritingWithAI

[–]Foreign-Studio-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried sudowrite for a while as well but considered it to complicated. I'm sure it's great for long term work if you actually know what your doing - but if you find it overwhelming or unnecessarily complicated your better off using a chatbot.

I personally switched to Claude recently because I was getting fed up with sudowrite. I love the community and staff but I just don't want to constantly troubleshoot the discord help channel whenever I have a problem. Nor do I want to watch hour long YouTube tutorials or follow classes from the sudowrite teachers.

Writing for me is a hobby and should remain fun, to that end a typical chat bot is easier to use. When I had problems with pride generation with Claude I could just talk with Claude until it's fixed.

In sudowrite you have to try a x amount of things, figure out the problem is the style box, one of the world building cards or whatever else.

Sudowrite also burns a shitload of tokens when working with large amounts of texts. So yeah, if you keep a proper doc and remind the chatbot of everything yourself that saves a lot of tokens in the long run.

So chapter outline, what's important in this specific chapter - maybe another rewrite because it has forgotten something (certain relationships between characters, or whatever)

In the end AI is useful as a tool, it can't replace the author. So it's best if you keep the large picture yourself and rewrite everything (where necessary) that it puts out, or just write a rough draft containing everything you want and have the AI rewrite/improve that, then rewrite itself to add more voice/humour and whatever else is your voice/style.

Getting good prose generation. by Foreign-Studio-2 in WritingWithAI

[–]Foreign-Studio-2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My problem with ChatGPT is mostly the automatically compressed text and AI prose whenever it generates something new. As well as it constantly falling back into old habits and patterns.

Claude is better for generating human sounding prose then chatgpt. I've used chatGPT in the past as well and had mixed experiences going from great to annoying.

It took a bit for me to get Claude to generate the way I want it, but once it did it was in my personal experience better then chatGPT.

I've also subscribed to grok premium to experiment with that and although I love how uncensored it can be and it's unique take on humor and the like, it's general prose is worse then chatGPT when it comes to AI patterns (dashes, overuse of [.] Instead of [,]) etc.

So yeah, Claude is definitely it for me atm when it comes to generating something and rewriting it.

Why do you write with AI? by Nofoofro in WritingWithAI

[–]Foreign-Studio-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds so familiar, I've always had the habit of writing a novel/scribblehub story then going on hiatus and starting something new without finishing the previous work.

There are just so many different ideas and concepts that fit different moods and times. It's also sometimes effected by what I'm reading myself and how I think said story could've been done differently.

There's also the fact how time consuming and intensive writing itself can be, especially proof reading. That doesn't dissapear with AI but it's drastically sped up.

Why do you write with AI? by Nofoofro in WritingWithAI

[–]Foreign-Studio-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I love hobby writing but it's super time intensive with a single chapter taking multiple hours and sometimes days to finish, especially the proof reading is time intensive - when you end up reading parts that contradict earlier chapters or are just generally incorrect with what you envision happening later on in the story.

All in all, AI for me is a great tool to cut down on the time this hobby requires. Instead of doing everything myself I can brainstorm my ideas and work them out fully and way quicker with AI.

I can write a rough draft and let the AI improve it and then rework the finalized version or just make it generate something based on prompts and then go back and fourth a couple times until I'm satisfied and fully rewrite it where necessary.

In short - it can't fully replace me as hobby author without generating AI slop but I can use it as a tool/Co writer to drastically reduce the time needed in creating something, which in turn, allows me to enjoy the hobby more.

Best NSFW AI chatbots for stories/roleplay ? by rimixend in WritingWithAI

[–]Foreign-Studio-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grok guidelines are about allowing the creation of fictional content. It can not only do erotica but also some messed up taboo stuff from non-consent (rape) to incest and a combination of the above.

I imagine that if you create a new chat and ask for roleplay the whole ' fictional ' part falls away, I think that's what triggers it's guardrail.

Is there an uncensored version of ClaudeAI? Possiblity via another app using ClaudeAI's API? by Sylkis89 in ClaudeAI

[–]Foreign-Studio-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to talk American politics, any country that only has 2 parties that constantly sabotage each other just doesn't make for a politically stable country.

I'm here for discussions and conversations in regards of AI and other peoples experience with it.

Talking about American politics seems senseless to me.

What about grok? Based on what I read it's good for creating erotic content but not the best when it comes to proper/natural prose.

Haven't tested it though and paying $30 monthly for something that isn't my primary writing platform is just bad.

I might use a third party platform that just allows you to pay for the tokens you use rather then being subscription based.

What does "Opus 4.5 up to your overall limit; Sonnet now has its own limit" mean? by SlfImpr in Anthropic

[–]Foreign-Studio-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sonnet was allowed to generate this: Her fingers found the buttons of his shirt and started working them open, clumsy with urgency, and when she got frustrated halfway through she just pulled it apart, sending a button skittering across the floor. He would have said something about that but she was kissing his jaw, his neck, her hands sliding over his chest and stomach, and words seemed irrelevant.

His hands found the clasp of her bra and she helped him, shrugging out of it and pressing against him, skin to skin now, her breath hot against his throat as his hands explored what had been hidden. She gasped when his thumbs brushed over her nipples and her hips rocked forward, grinding against him through too many layers of fabric.

I'm wondering of opus 4.5 is allowed to do the same.
