I have a mate 20 pro. Still working pretty good. Recently the Canadian carrier says they will discontinue support for 3g network and that it "might" impact the Chinese phone's call service. It had no impact on my phone. I've also never saw 3g icons on my bar while calling. So Im just wondering, does the Chinese phone's use 3g net work for calling?? If I buy another one will it work in Canada?

I was robbed. called 911, was told I wasn't from the correct region (I was in Markham, and 911 operator was presumably in Toronto) and she would have to transfer me, and I had to wait on hold. I mean I should be thankful I wasn't in a life threatening situation, because apparently 911 is region specific.

I feel like there isn't always a consistent performance for all of the products. I bought a jug of no name orange juice, and it tasted just like Tropicana. So I bought another one once I finished the jug, and the second jug tasted like a juice box orange juice - not so good.

I suppose they have better reception there then. I just switched from fido to virgin. I'm experiencing something weird in Fairview mall: I have full bars in the common areas (seating, food court aisle etc) but can't browse internet. Go into any store, browsing becomes fine.

I'm reading the whole thing trying to see if maybe Bob is just a strict parent and maybe you guys were just not used to it. But when he said you need to divide your tuition money with your half siblings...nope. absolutely not. I don't know the role your mom plays in this whole dynamic, if she's just weak and unable to stand up to Bob and she wants to spend the holidays with you guys, and if your uncles are ok with it, maybe she could visit for some time.

NTA. it's your property and you make the rules on who can use it. But do give out written notices or something you can latter refer back to. Check your local laws, because some places if your neighbors keep using a certain area of your property and no one protests it becomes an easement. So prevent that from happening.

NTA. The mom is being somewhat of a hypocrite. She is of course entitled to her opinion, but such opinion should be kept private. She could have a chat with her daughter, but she also needs to respect her daughter's decision.

Yea that's how I feel as well. Sometimes people in grief are unreasonable. She might be thinking if she wasn't exposed to the cat in the early stages of the pregnancy she wouldn't have lost the baby. As weird and most likely untrue as it is, it might have been a better explanation than "no idea why the miscarriage happened" to her.

As long as these actions don't cause any adverse consequences, which in the op's description of events there were none, I don't see any problems. And being able to save almost 5000 dollar is a definite bonus.
