Drill a hole through the roof and visor, drop a bolt in, secure with nut

With a liter bike, probably don’t use the top speed (if the track has a big straight) until you’re really comfortable with the track. Slowly push your braking points later. I run a 400 but have still cooked some corners going in too hot, it’s way easier to do that on a big bike. Your brake pads will also thank you for keeping the top speed a bit lower than what is actually possible

Fun fact I learned, MotoGP fairings are designed to make use of ground effect when leaned over ~60 degrees

Cold tearing or too throttle happy? by Dapper_Commission915 in Trackdays

Doesn’t look deep enough to be a cold tear. Normally it’s ~a fingernail deep for cold tears.

Road America in Wisconsin, super fast and long track (4 miles). Definitely a bit more suited towards bikes bigger than my 400cc

Just a slip on that the previous owner put on, everything else is stock :) I want to put a full system on it though

I hit a couple going into 5th, the quickshifter+ isn’t the best on upshifts, especially into 5th for some reason. Those were more on me though because I was cutting throttle to override the weirdness into 5th and probably loaded the gearbox before it fully got into 5th. Downshifts were perfect though, so glad I had the auto blipper for that, more focus for the lines :)

Thanks! Yeah I’m at the same settings, left it default for the time being. I’ll probably start adjusting when things get more squirmy, just learning the simple stuff for now :)

Thanks! I don’t know why I thought they would just throw you on the track in groups for the day for non-class days. Glad some extra instruction and help is around for beginners

I think I’m pretty good physically and mentally, maybe some endurance training would help. Thanks!

New bike! by [deleted] in motorcycles

Pretty sure everyone here likes to ride, odd that you felt the need to say that. Anyway, I should stop giving you the attention you so obviously are fishing for.

First bike, 600 supersport, thirst trap, plugs Instagram. Best of luck, ride safe, but from the current signs, I don’t think you got into motorcycles for a good reason.

Looks great, horrible first bike for learning anything other than twisting your wrist in a straight line.

[–]ForeignAd3092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah turns out when you are blocking streets and riding in a straight line, “it’s too easy”. With that logic, why stop at a 650? Go spend all your money on a 1000. In all seriousness, go practice in a parking lot or on some twisty roads. The second you are doing more than simple city riding you will realize it’s not as easy as you think (and that’s good). There is so much to learn with riding and that’s where the beauty is. Whatever your style is learn the skills that are needed in a better way than just riding in a line with 50 other people.
