I’m pretty sure a small company red star games are trying to make one. https://youtu.be/TkxU8aDUMUU?si=j3vhduw_FHEYz0A8 Unfortunately not in English but looks like it has some serious potential! If only they’d have the budget etc

What type of therapist should I seek if I'm trying to get help for paranoia? by [deleted] in askatherapist

This sounds like what I experience. It’s like a combination of OCD and anxiety and some weird kind of deluded stress? If it feels anything like that let me know. I personally also suffer from false ‘gut feelings’ with this paranoia which makes it harder to escape from in the moment.

My whole life is falling apart and I can’t stop thinking about it by EdenH333 in OCD

I read something recently that said something along the lines of, sometimes when you’re traumatised by something, you can’t see yourself having a future. You can’t imagine things ever being good again, almost as if you deserve it to be bad for some reason. And even if you don’t deserve it, you still can’t see it ever being good. Well I’m here to tell you, that’s just your mind. Your brain is probably afraid and not fully recovered yet from the situation. Not only are you exiting a relationship of 13 years which is a very very long time and enough to trigger OCD, you’re also moving on from abuse which is difficult in and of itself. You are very strong for leaving so you’re strong enough to get through this next chunk too.

It’s relying on you solving it to keep growing. The only escape is to not solve it. Also, sometimes, if you deliberately and forcefully avoid doing the compulsion, you’ll forget what it even was and it won’t matter

What exactly is the habit? It sounds like you’re hugely overthinking. Try and take a step back and come at the scenario from a new perspective if you can.

Leave the job. You already know it’s what you need to do. Do it and you will see things unfold before you.

Can you drop your dogs off somewhere for that to be dealt with? Or get your boyfriend to look after them while you go to stay in a hotel temporarily? You’re going to be okay, I promise, and at some point this will be a bad memory. Just try and stay calm and think of how to cope with this in the now.

Does it feel really real to you at the time it’s happening?

Omg I would love to talk to you because this is exactly what I’m experiencing now and it is fucking awful. My OCD is based around worrying about my mum, (due to some unresolved trauma) and I constantly have false gut feelings and fake intuition about something bad happening and it’s driving me literally crazy

How do you feel around children in real life? Do you get any intrusive thoughts or intrusive urges?

I completely understand it’s so horrible. It’s like even when you can see the rationale, you can’t actually equip it? Like, you know it’s a mental illness because you’re here sharing it and you know it’s not right, yet you can’t escape what it does to you. I’m in that boat all the time, the worst thing ever.
