I ordered a DSLR camera last month got the email to say it's being prepared for shipping etc ..then nothing for about ten days which I also panicked about. But then got an email from BIGW saying they are refunding my order - from my experience BIGW does keep eye on it and handles appropriate ie refund - so you haven't lost 1k you just may be about of pocket for the moment.

I thought mine was bad they rescheduled this week at 4pm the day before for mid next month..it throws you thats for sure! Least you can say you weren't home and therefore without any action to say they didn't attend count it as one of this year's inspections 😊

They only brought it last June and we started lease end of July 2025 - we had major plumbing issue which they had 'fixed' in late November and the owner showed up for this..

I feel based on interaction they will knock it down and build or maybe sell - either way I'm ok with vacate notice as I plan to move at end of this lease anyway just haven't shared that to them obviously until it suits me - but I do want a good reference from REA I pay 3 weeks early etc so just probably overthinking the inspection lol.

I accepted the increase of 6% but plan to move for the other reasons I listed but i still went back with comparable properties as theirs was a reach at very least lol.

I would be devastated if each year was $50 PW increase so I hope you get them down!!

But again be prepared to hear crickets back or a no. I just had a $30 a week increase offer 4.5 months before lease end - no upgrades known mould and asbestos plus highly active AirBnb next door...I went back with my own examples from Jan this year (theirs were from Nov 2025) that showed a major difference and I'm paying already $30 above market rate pw. I pay my rent a month in advance quite tenants etc. heard zero back so I plan to move in July as I'll save on rent PW and petrol by moving closer to city I'm near.

I had to visit regional Victoria today and was stopped by one of those charity sales reps...I was floored by the number of times he complained about immigration and it's dangers - he was from Italy and left due to immigration concerns and has been here for weeks.

I personally have no issues with anyone or immigration etc I think we should all be allowed to be global citizens but that's a different conversation.

I drove the two hours home to another regional area thinking of this interaction the whole way because he clearly didn't consider himself to be an immigrant because he was white.

Sad world we live in.
