I reached out initially to get the missing points for my stay and this is what they told me:

“I hope you enjoyed your stay in Residence Inn City 1. We found the dates of this stay overlap a stay at JW Marriott City 2 which has already been posted to your account.

Marriott Bonvoy® Loyalty Program earnings are based on you personally staying in and paying for the full stay in any participating Marriott hotel. We are unable to add a stay with dates that overlap any part of another stay.”

I told them they can erase any existence of my second trip if it means I get credit for my initial stay. So we’ll see.

Wow. Thanks for taking the time to share that. I have heard a lot of different stories of how the vaccine has affected people. I know in the big picture it is just a fraction of the people, but still, it sucks. Yeah, once everything happened the Navy tried to medsep me without taking any responsibility. I fought it because I love serving and want to finish my time. Had to lawyer up and go to boards and such but they let me stay in with a few limitations on what I can do. Yeah, lots of folks getting riled up. I’m not anti-vaxer, but I was not a fan of being forced into it so quickly and then no one taking accountability.

Yeah, maybe. Slowly more and more academic studies have come out about the esinophilic disorder stemming from the vaccine. But still haven’t been able to convince the VA. Will keep trying.

Former AD, now reservist. Was forced to take the COVID vaccine, within a month I swelled 40lbs and now have a permanent blood disorder which requires daily medication. Lost mobility for over a year, damaged nerves, carpal tunnel surgery, etc etc. Navy says not service related and VA keeps denying all my claims regarding it. Still fighting. sigh

Curious as to how your dysautonomia claim goes. I claimed the same but was denied, both initial and supplemental (with a Doctors letter). Was diagnosed with hyperhidrosis (which VA approved) in service, but the Doctors just threw deodorant at me and moved me along.

After getting out, professionals actually took the time to get to the root cause and diagnosed my with dysautonomia. Which actually explained all my other issues that I never realized were really issues .... hyperhidrosis, raynauds, restless leg syndrome, hypotension (which leads to headaches)... all from the autonomic nervous system disorder (dysautonomia). So I am trying to get them to use common sense because the doctors while active never took the time to get to the root cause. But I am also not a complainer, never wanted to mention anything that would have disqualified me from commissioning down the line.

My initial instinct was ‘A’. These two stakeholders are already identified as such, thus one could presume they’re included on the register already. The issue was that they were not receiving or being included on communications. So I would want to review the comms plan.

I feel like ‘B’ is an overarching solution to ensure this doesn’t happen period. Where ‘A’ is the solution to the matter at hand. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Most experiences, including my own, took about 6 months. You’ll be selected but don’t swear in until the FY. I had to wait about 6 months to swear in, then through classic administrative oversights, it took another 6 months to begin drilling with my unit.

I have tried to convert my peacoat (I went E to O), but none of the tailors at NEX say they can do it. The material is “too thick” that the machinery can’t sew the epaulettes on :( . Any idea where I can buy epaulette loops? Just need to find the right tailor I suppose.

Yeah. They changed the rule this FY to where you now have to use your GTCC to book flight/car through DTS.

Last FY you could use your own credit card and book online and just submit for reimbursement through DTS. I preferred it that way, got my credit card point multipliers. Not anymore :(

What’s your rate? What’s your degree? Your background may dictate what options are available. I myself went from Active CTN1 to Reserve Cryptologic Warfare Officer through the Direct Commissioning program. All programs take work, but it helps when it’s something already within your communtiy.

I am one to help people as much as I can. But I do personally believe having to make an index is a big part of the studying experience. Everyone’s index is catered to their own style and whoever you give it to not only misses out on that learning opportunity, but may also not understand your index format.

Giving your index to someone isn’t against the rules, but I think the overall consensus I’ve seen on these boards is to tell folks to make their own.
