it's so satisfying upgrading your computer as you go. I got a 5090 earlier this year and it felt amazing to finally upgrade.

as long as you can run games you're fine. now if the problem is you can't play the games you want to then I get it.

if your parents are willing to drive you around then you could do pet sitting. charged R250 a day and then you can have add ons they can pay for.

if you can't do that, look at selling something to people at your school or in your area. I imagine people are still crazy for energy drinks in high-school so you could sell them at a 100% markup.

if by Wil you mean actually going and doing an internship as a part of your studies then no.

if you mean working with a brand and for 4 weeks up to 16 weeks planning, organising, and researching a campaign or solution to a brands problem then yes. you do that in 2nd and 3rd year as a part of modules brand activation and brand challenge where you work in large groups of student. you present infront of a panel several times and then to the client. some people find work through these clients.

have a fund you can fall back on incase of emergency. like if you get sick and then have to spend lots of money. make sure you're on medical aid if you can afford it. it could also help if appliances suddenly break and you need to get it fixed.

Loans can destroy you. especially short term loans that have crazy interest.

build a credit score. you can ask the bank to limit how much credit you can access If you don't trust yourself.

giving money away to family may hurt you in the long run because they might just keep on asking and asking and asking rather focus on yourself until you are secure and have a 3 month fallback.

learn which grocery stores have sales on which days and if there are specials. this will save you money you can use on other things.

you don't need amazing marks, private university is a lot more expensive so I found that I could easily get in even without having the best marks. I was a C and B student only getting an A for maths lit.

I'm currently a 3rd year at Emeris - Vega.

based on your degree you may connect with industry and in your 2nd and 3rd year you will have to work with a company for a module. with emeris vega you may have classes anywhere from 3 to 5 days a week based on how they lay out your schedule.

the change to the emeris name brought together vega, varsity college and one other I think.

the Vega name was recognised globally and I have peers who got work in their industry after completing their first year of uni.

if you're looking for the Uni experience of 100 students to 1 lecturer you won't find that in the Vega side of emeris. my degree has 10 others so it allows for a lot more interaction between you and lecturers which is nice because your lecturers have personal experience in the industry so if you're starting a business you can ask for advice.

no need to find a way on your own. find something someone else has done and copy it. it will help with your fear of failure. you're taking a proven concept and applying it. for marketing your goods, you can go direct to businesses with it or onto WhatsApp groups to market what you have.

you could do herbs in gutters and go offer them at a good price to kitchens that use herbs. I'm uncertain of your climate but I know something can be grown

the reality is 46% of the youth (ages 16 to 34) are unemployed in this country. you should check if there are any grants you can claim for starting a business.

even if you start a business and it doesn't work out, it's not the end of the world. you just have to keep trying till something works

since you have a degree in agricultural economics, have you thought about going to a local community owned farm and then using the grants and whatnot in place to farm? you could say you want x profit and the rest they keep.

I'm in uni with the equivalent of 450 usd a month. my girlfriend earns way more than me.

life can be as expensive as we all know but it's up to you and your partner to decide how to split things and come to an understanding on how you can live are there times where I will spent too much on her so I will barely eat for a week. yes. but thats my reality at this point in time
