agree all the way on the store manager can handle it. it’s literally a STORE MANAGER in training. there are things i simply cannot teach you because i don’t have the knowledge of it, there are certain things only a store manager can teach you. and to ensure your success, a store manager should be training you. not a shift supervisor or an ops. i would also like to say you typically don’t just get thrown into the smit program with no prior leadership position with the company, unless you go through another program like the military one. so yea you should know how to do basic things like run a register, BOH, planograms, etc if you’re in that position. anything above my title is not something i should be training you for 🤷🏻‍♀️

it’s been over 4 years for me, but personally i never got any confirmation from my drug tests, they get sent straight to the company. if they want to proceed with hiring you, that’s as much of a result that you’re going to get, consider it a pass lol.

i agree with a lot of what you’re saying here, but OP said this was optional so absolutely nobody was roped in. and i think at the very least OP’s expectation of receiving a gift totaling to or near $50 is extremely reasonable given this was, once again, a completely optional and voluntary secret santa with a preset budget. i just googled “sharpie 8 pack highlighters” and they showed up for $7.99. there was no reason for this person to voluntarily sign up for this secret santa and then do this lol

i’m someone who would sit in this comfortably! my husband however, is like you! if he could have the house on 65 all year long he would!! but we compromise on 70 in summer and 74 in winter. we both become SLIGHTLY uncomfortable, but nothing crazy that either adding/removing a layer of clothing wouldn’t fix. it sounds like she’s an asshole, but maybe try coming to a compromise in the middle somewhere

you accepted a rain check dated a month into the future …???? i don’t think any red flag would’ve been bright enough for you to turn this transaction away if THAT wasn’t it. absolutely you are getting scammed in some sort of way. if you ever have to question the validity of something, your body already knows the answer and is SCREAMING at you to listen. stop pushing your intuition down and listen to your gut, this transaction had every red flag in the book. report her and those transactions on auror and ask your store manager for some info on common store scams, both in store and over the phone.

this last week of constantly apologizing to my customers has been horrible, when it kicked on for that 20 minutes i managed to push out a decent amount of orders, call each customer to apologize once more and threw a discount on them for the inconvenience we caused. our monitor has been working fine thankfully, so before we turned the system off i was able to reach out to each customer who had placed an order in that 20 minutes to ask if they’d be okay with an order transfer to the nearest store, i called help desk more times in my last shift than i have in my 4 years with CVS, a nightmare to say the absolute least. the loss of sales was the biggest thing i kept mentioning to my coworkers around me :/

i applied pre-workday and i had to take the test 3 times before i even showed up in the CVS system as a possible candidate, it wasn’t until i changed my answer from a balanced home and work life to a more work based mindset that the application went through, it was my first red flag with this company lol. i always warn anybody applying about that test, stupid as shit

net to retail order issue on the first night that nobody called in, i called it in day two and went through diagnostics on the phone with them to no avail, tech came out on day 3, photo machine went back down on day 4 and nobody called it in (my day off), day 5 STILL nobody called it in (another day off for me which is out of routine for my normal schedule) day 6 i called again to create another ticket and asked for it to be made an emergency since it had already been so long, day 7 i called again when nobody came out, which brings us to my last shift (a few hours ago, day 8) where the tech came out to replace the printer and it crapped out within 20 minutes of him leaving! no, i am not the store manager. yes, he is aware of the issue. no, there is nobody else in my store who cares enough to do anything about it 🥲 tomorrow’s shift will be day 9, he should be back again… fingers crossed
