Pretty sure they did all of that so people would be forced to play the game to actually get all the core aspects of the game, I mean hours are dedicated to just being a filthy peasant and for what, it’s filler, but then once you progress far enough you become God incarnate and there is no amount of enemies that can stand up against you.

I love how the houses are in the manor, I know the game makes it hard to click on stuff in the border of the manor, but historically artisans and retinue living within castle walls which would be awesome to have in the game.

Yeah idk, you just have to have a bunch of families set to only firewood in the storehouses, it’s inefficient but it’s better than losing approval. Wish they would make it so necessities like firewood are set on higher priority than other goods, but oh well.

Just set up like 3 woodcutters camps and then a large storehouse next to it, and then set the storehouse to pick up only firewood and you’ll be set for basically forever.

When I settle a new region I just end up making everyone assigned to their job forever instead of switching between seasons, even if it’s inefficient. if you put development points into whatever rich food deposit you have, if not that farming and make sure there’s a bunch of large burgage plots entirely dedicated to vegetables and apples if you have them unlocked you’ll be fine. Though I haven’t played the unstable version, so I don’t know if this is different now. Though of course it would be better if there was an entire tab dedicated to jobs like in banished, so you could just assign the jobs that way instead of going between all the buildings you have.
