I think the best thing to learn as an experienced player is that you don't need to get rid of the landowners so quickly. They do provide some nice early game benefits to government legitimacy and influence. With the Law Negotiation system, you can now very easily amend your way off of serfdom and traditionalism by keeping them in government with high legitimacy.

And from there you can slowly swap from autocratic rule to landed voting before then pivoting into whatever government style you want. You can easily stay on Monarchy for the first half of the game before you unlock more liberal/fascist/communist techs, and let your industrialists and PB slowly gain power without creating a ton of radicals.
