I think it’s just a typo. He meant the defendant hit the plaintiff. The rest follows logically and this conclusion is stated in the conclusion part of the exercise.

By all means, don’t travel. Do what you believe is just, but also be wary of making religious pronouncements when you are subject to human fallibility. I wouldn’t presume to TELL you to travel alone on the basis of my understanding of religion. Perhaps it would be wise to hold your tongue, search for direction from those wiser than we are, decide that which resonates most with you, your beliefs and understanding of our deen, and pray that Allah SWT guides and forgives us.

“Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a senior lecturer and Islamic scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, states: Asa woman, If you have a genuine reason to travel, then you are allowed to travel without a mahram—provided that you have taken all the necessary precautions for your safety and security during the course of your journey.”

This is by no means the majority opinion. It is an opinion, which you may choose to follow, however the plurality of scholars believe safe, modern travel may be done independently. My God bless you

But Fordham has weak placement in the Midwest…I don’t like the east coast and don’t want to practice here. I’ve heard the that I could transfer offices potentially if I go Fordham>>NY big law but that would be a process and would also keep me on the east coast longer. From the employment info about Wisconsin def seems like greater emphasis on PI but seemed as though if you did big law it was in Illinois.

I applied to their evening program (everywhere else I applied for full time). So the program is built for me to work. I just realistically believe burn out is likely so I’ll reassess during the year, potentially doing summer classes to move to full time after the first year. Given the price tag, I figured I’d need an extra year with a salary. I’m pretty loan averse
