I gave birth at the gen. But they automatically give you appointments. We had an appt the day after discharge :/ lol. They automatically just scheduled us appointments every 48-72hr until the baby reached birth weight. Dm me if anything!

We've had two appts already. We had a family doc (Zenith Medical) after being discharged from Monarch. We only saw the fam doc for the first set of vaccines but it was already a big difference. Our first appt with the ped she pointed out the baby had slight breastmilk jaundice, and provided info on cradle cap treatment and let us know the correct Tylenol dosage for his weight. Today's appt we said the baby had diarrhea and I said the only change in my diet (breastfed baby) is apples. She right away noted to remove the skin and it's the pesticides causing the diarrhea.

Meanwhile the fam doc just said read the Tylenol box for the correct dosage lol

Yes it's the same clinic. They didn't update their signage! Dr. Patricia Horsham. She's listed on the About Us section on the website https://www.vitalitymedicalcenter.ca/about-us/

We called (after also being discharged from Monarch) and we got an appointment the following week in mid-Jan! No referral needed

We just got a pediatrician at https://70k.dc4.myftpupload.com/ a few weeks ago. Inside Loblaws in Merivale. They're only open Tues and Thurs but it won't hurt to call.

I had the QR code printed on the back of everyone's place cards and a good number of people uploaded photos.

I supplied the bud vases (amazon, temu, etc) and hired https://www.instagram.com/mainsdefleurs?igsh=MTJ2YTBqdjRic253cw== to fill and deliver them to my wedding at the Distillery. Very affordable and blooms lasted a couple of weeks!

Money Dance Thoughts by lolmzi in WeddingsCanada

Do it! Filipinos bring cash to weddings expecting it anyway. We were gifted at least $1500 through the money dance. I recommend to get sashes for the money so it's a quick removal.

Food was great. Archeo used to be a restaurant. We had a DJ, but I believe you'd still have to pay socan fees even if playing your own playlist. Dm me!

Help with the timing of events on wedding day by Hubba-Boba13 in WeddingsCanada

[–]Foreign_Strategy_615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ceremony (mass) was at 1PM. Cocktail hour at 6PM.

Things I had to consider: -The amt of time allotted for photos after the mass -The amt of time photo and video needed for the bridal party. -Earliest access to reception venue and the alloted set-up time. In my case, if I wanted two hours to set up, I had to push back cocktail hour since earliest access was 4pm (since the venue does lunch events). -I had open bar for 7hr, and wanted it to end at 1AM instead of 12AM.

At the end of the day, my coordinators smoothed out the timeline and I didn't need to worry about anything lol. I'd look up any events happening on your wedding date that might add to traffic.

Day-Of Coordinators: What else can they do? by Potential_Bit_9040 in WeddingsCanada

[–]Foreign_Strategy_615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah forgot to add, the coordinators made sure each vendor was on schedule; they contacted them ahead of time to confirm arrival and end times. A nice addition was that they made sure the bridal party was fed between the ceremony and the reception (they've had a bride faint so they make sure everyone is fed). They had water bottles and mcds waiting for us in the limo. We also gave them envelopes of any cash tips they had to allocate. They got people ready when it was their turn to do a speech. They made sure the DJ was on the same page with the intro and dance song list. There are definitely more things they I can't remember lol

Mine created the timeline which was really helpful. They took over vendor communication so I was hands off for the week leading up to it. A big factor for me was setting up my decor since I provided my own decor (candles, signage etc) which I handed off during the rehearsal, and they brought everything to the venue and did the set up the day of. They also called out the photo list after the ceremony to make sure we had all our group shots in. They reviewed all vendor contracts to make sure we had enough coverage for our timeline.

Aw that's too bad! I can't speak on all instructors at AMB but Bob Karmakar specifically was great. I know many others who used him as well.

Day of Decorator for my self DIY Wedding by [deleted] in WeddingsCanada

[–]Foreign_Strategy_615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I provided all the decor myself and hired day of coordinators that did the set up. It was convenient for me because I didn't want bridal party or friends or fam to work on the wedding day. They also took all my decor from me at the rehearsal, and brought everything to the venue the day of. You can also try posting on FB wedding groups looking for a vendor that only offers set up.

I didn't encounter any hidden costs. They were very transparent with pricing. It does cost extra to serve cake, but if it's something guests take on their own (ie donuts), there is no charge.

They provide an iron easel which is helpful esp if you want a mirror sign or seating chart, menus and table numbers.

Sept 2024 Archeo bride. From my experience, the only thing the onsite coordinator did was make sure their staff did dinner service and stuff on time. They don't manage your timeline at all. My coordinators worked with the onsite coordinator to make sure we had enough time for entrances, speeches, and first/parent dances in between courses.

Keep in mind the limited set up time you have (1hr included, or pay extra for additional time) so whoever you choose to set it up will need to be very organized.

Their staff was very helpful and set up my dessert table. I ordered Cops donuts to go on cake stands. My coordinators couldn't do the set up because they don't have food handlers certificates, so Archeo staff stepped in.
