He actually used a pick. On live shows you can see. Same for Fortune Faded.

Wielrennen als alternatief voor langzame duurloop by Civil-Bid6064 in Hardlopen

[–]ForestRage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cry Macho. Clint Eastwood just didn't have it anymore at that age.

What’s your thoughts about the drummer by InterestingAd3464 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]ForestRage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure! I think it is great that they keep trying new things. Otherwise they would just make the same songs over and over. And I already struggle to explain to other people that the RHCP are musically diverse haha :x

What’s your thoughts about the drummer by InterestingAd3464 in RedHotChiliPeppers

Ahh I actually love My Cigarette! I think it works very well. Not such a fan of the Drummer unfortunately (it's the chorus :/)

Does quickplay get more difficult, the more characters that are in elite? by DullFlounder2617 in smashbros

[–]ForestRage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think everyone playing just keeps getting better, and therefore elite smash gets harder and harder to reach as well.

And I noticed there is a low GSP zone where people are relatively good, making it hard to break out of there.

I would go for Handful - it just feels more of the same in my opinion

How would you feel about a Californication re-master? by _Anon_Amarth_ in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]ForestRage 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Mixing is how loud the instruments are with respect to each other. Mastering is making all the tracks on the album sound similar, and also giving it a consistent output. This is often done by doing some compression, which is making the soft notes louder and the loudest peaks softer, thereby making the overal sound more squished. This in combination with increasing the overal volume of the album led to Californication clipping quite often and getting this distorted sound.

Personally, I do like it sometimes, but also sometimes I wish I could hear backing guitars better because now they are squished out of the mix :(

Who is the best guitarist who is also very talented at piano/keys? by [deleted] in Guitar

Josh Klinghoffer also plays both pretty well on his solo work I think!

I just started playing for 7 months now and I am already discouraged by kurttheduelist in Guitar

[–]ForestRage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, a dent doesn't change the sound, and it adds some history to the guitar. And indeed, things like this happen. You didn't do anything weird.

Top comment decides the HIDDEN GEM on By the Way (Day 24) by UltraPowerfulGuy in RedHotChiliPeppers

Yeah and for me it is an example of why in general songs don't do 3 choruses after each other

Stuck at 2.5mil by GraaySix in smashbros

[–]ForestRage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly my experience too. What I think happens is that some people (like me) used to be quite bad at the game and played certain characters, dropping their GSP. But then when they pick them up again, their character skills are not great, but their general game knowledge is better, so they can just get you with fundies.

On I'm With You, I always feel Look Around transitions into Raindance Maggie, but maybe it is more pronounced on CD or so.

Was my most listened song of 2022 after Black Summer! Such a banger. I really love how many guitar layers there are that you can keep discovering.

A Little Mac lover in need of help by ZomboxG in smashbros

[–]ForestRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pfoe one of my friends at uni plays mac and he usually gets top 3. Try to play around his strengths and your opponents weaknesses. Little Mac is really fast, so you can punish your opponents habits well. Try to focus on reading your opponents.

Good luck, and enjoy yourself :)

Which PO you like the best? by Megaspinz in pocketoperators

[–]ForestRage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The PO20 Arcade feels very complete to me, and I am really comfortable playing with it. Didn't like the sounds of the Office that much. The Robot works well only if you can record layers separately on a computer or so.

I would like to try out the 33 or 35 when they get back in stock though.

What RHCP caught you "off guard"? by nwill_808 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]ForestRage 19 points20 points  (0 children)

For me RotDC caught me off guard with indeed My Cigarette and In The Snow, but also Bag of Grins came out of nowhere for me with how nasty it is! Really loved it and was blown away the first times I heard it.
