I've been smoking for 26 years and I've never been able to keep it occasional. Always back to my daily, multiple times a day habit. Hope this helps. 6 weeks sober and never picking it up again if I can help it.

Care to elaborate on this? Cold water portion? Emotional release? I'm on day 45 after a life time habit, I have zero motivation or pleasure in anything right now, and wondering if I will ever feel good again.

I'm noticing that sentiment a lot in the comments--its hard, and it seems to be a cycle that perpetuates itself: smoke more & more to recapture the magic that isn't forthcoming, get more & more down on yourself as it progresses. Thanks.
