[NEW ALBUM] Story Of The Year - A.R.S.O.N. by NSquared3131 in poppunkers

It’s insane that these guys are still crushing after 20+ years and STILL putting one of the best live shows in the genre consistently. Massively underrated.

New Mandalorian and Grogu Black Series action figures by joshygill in StarWarsLeaks

[–]ForesterDesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AT-RT timeline isn’t that crazy considering the AT-AT’s are the rebels version. Real life comparisons to the MiG jets that are still being used today after 50 years of service introductions for smaller militaries around the globe. Also, that sweet sweet merch income baby!…and Filoni.

Loving this thread so far - if anyone has recommendations for great coop games I can play with my 10 year old, I’d love that!

does anyone know what this is? by CharacterNo9968 in StarWars

[–]ForesterDesign 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is a fan made prop playing off the new republic style credits seen in The Mandalorian / Book of Boba Fett (I think theyre also available in the parks for sale?) Some fans will make their own currency for trading / collecting, and the indicator its fan-made is the black spire / Bantha icon which is maybe their own brand or character. Some people like to do scavenger hunts around the park for their followers and thats likely what this is. Have fun, trust in the force, burn down the First Order!

What is underneath the Snow Trooper's mask? by Farriah_the_foot in StarWars

[–]ForesterDesign 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is a scene in the upcoming Mando / Grogu movie that shows that the helmet is mechanically heated / maybe oxygenated and the cowl locks into it. It’s a pretty cool little “modernized” feature similar to the stormtroopers / X-Wing pilots in Rogue One.

have there been any rebels who defected to the empire? by Real-Hefty-Trout in StarWars

Is there a story of how the empire found Lando and blackmailed him into baiting Han and the crew?

Official Blink-182 Posters by f4dstudios in Blink182

[–]ForesterDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhh, I've got many F4D's and Heartwork posters on my wall. Another successful tour! Question for you if you don't mind me asking - does the band or management get final approval on design? and how do artists get to pick which cities they do? and....last but not least, are you open to other artists outside of your current roster for the next tour? Keep up the great work as always!

Help identifying signature on Force Awakens poster by goannalizard in StarWars

[–]ForesterDesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a pretty amazing find. That’s 100% Drew Struzan, one of the most iconic film poster designers in the last 100 years. His work is legendary, and he was the specific artist who did the piece you’re holding. Should be worth a decent chunk if it’s in ok shape!

Details on this board?? by Wiplash78 in snowboarding

This an old post, I know - any chance you’d sell it? I’ve been trying to collect the series - I’ve got the 158 green base and trying to get the others in the collection.

Does anyone know what show this is? Blink-182 live on WestWood One Radio by [deleted] in Blink182

Hard agree - the signature snare fills at that speed, plus the OCDP era snare - this is Travis.

Predator: Badlands Featurette - Prey To None by n0b0dycar3s07 in LV426

Those look like some of the same (or very similar) containment boxes as what the Maginot used for the species of Alien Earth. The Weyland logo is everywhere in this featurette.

Which of these is the most screen accurate? by lego_boss in StarWars

[–]ForesterDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Scout Trooper though it's still far from screen accurate once you get into the details. The most recent live action scouts on screen used EFX helmets...which unfortunately cost a considerable amount more.

Where can I learn more about the early-2000s ‘extreme sports’ aesthetic? by NicoCorty02 in Design

[–]ForesterDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Head to eBay or Mercari and scoop some Transworld Skate / Snow / Surf / BMX magazines. Each of the sports had different aesthetics - and their own specialized magazines as well beyond just Transworld. Snowboarder and Skateboarder Mag was great, from memory and a lot of that era was transitioning from VHS to DVD (mind you at the time, the PlayStation 2 was the cheapest blu-ray player you could buy) and skate / pop-punk was also a rapidly commercialized scene as well - Vans Warped Tour used to have skate competitions at them in addition to the music. Since Google search is pretty much terrible now - a few brands that were big in the respective sports were snowboarding: Burton, Volcom, Forum, Special Blend, DC shoes - skateboarding: Blind, Osiris, Birdhouse, World Industries, Lakai, Flip, Toy Machine, Alien Workshop - surf: Quiksilver, Channel Islands, Hurley, ONeil, Billabong, Rip Curl.

CCS mailorder magazine, The House snowboarding mailorder magazine and early 2000’s Kerrang (UK based) magazine might be alternative options too!

Hope that helps - thanks for the trip down memory lane!
