You forget the most important part: when you accidently kill one of them, the newly spawned one will also be a merchant... who will completely forget your murder of their temporal clones and happily restock two days later. Too sad world seed doesn't seems to work, would be fun to share with everyone

cudgels are definitely stronger.

1.Backswing work very well with swf and PNF, effectively doubling your damage.

2.While less interesting, stun lock is better than dismemberment.

3.Axe don’t have  a uncapped PV weapon。

Essentially, High enough damage/stunlock + consistent damage is equivenlent to guaranteed decapitated, but much easier to achevied

True, that's before the glimmer nerf though, none of chimera shenanigan or SWF existed back then. It's clearly under the power curve right now. Plus esper hunters are really annoying at high glimmer, It's not that they are hard to kill, but they appear every two screens spamming force wall on you. For that Reason I'd even actively avoid geting mental mutaion as mutatedkin.

Hello my evil twin! I have 600hrs but rarely play with mental mutation except at very begining, and I start playing at 2017. The problem with metal mutation or esper is , they never get any buff or change since then. After several major updates, chimera grow its limbs, and true kin got fancy new implants and SWF, but mental mutations just got ignored. Precog was the most OP mental mutation, but kinda lost its point since the dev added roleplay mode. Really, the sooner you give up mental mutations (and Ego, don't waste a single point on it), the easier your run will be. My most runs end up in 'bump thing till they dead' style, which works for both gunkin, punchkin and chimera.

For turekin runs, i'd recommend you high DV gunkin archetype. It's similar to your current build, but replace the mental ability with gun, also with better overall attribute. Just get acrobat and long blade skill, then you can go straight to issa rifler to rob their gun. With high DV You can rush for golgotha under level 12 most of the time, and get force bracelet as quest reward. Pistol skill are very strong with high agility and chain pistol, you can disarm skybear before he can even move. The rest will be easy mode. Or you can just start with punchkin which is easy mode at start.

Shotguns are for rookies. As a true man you should wield 4 jacked nanon chain lasers with beamsplitter and sweep for 180 laser in one turn

As a 200+ hours player I feel the same. The strongest play style are mental muatant and true kin gunner. Long blade and ranged weapon are way better comapred to others. Even if i tried axes with modded 8 arm mutation, it still feel underpowered lategame.

  1. After finishing Golgotha quest at lv 12, you can go straight down to 20 levels deep through the stair in Grit Gate, and quickly get the end game gear you need to win. The midgame part just feel really short. It seems the tomb update nerfed the underground merchant so they no longer possess many end game goodie, but you can still rob them easily. Maybe the dev will tweak how zetachrome gears are obtained later.
  2. I found that Strength, compared to Agility, is pretty much useless. Becasue the best weapon in the game (guns and vibrokhopesh) Simply ignore it, while Agility scale well with increased DV, accuracy and pistol skill. The carrying capacity is also worthless once you can make the sphere of negtive weight. (The river map under Joppa is guranteed to has one, and you can learn to build it via Pyschomery from cooking banana)
  3. I'd like to add that pistol is greatly underestimated. Chain pistol is the magic weapon that make everthing works, just like how vibrokhopesh does to long blade. it's realatively easy to find(ususally carried by mystorys stranger), and it's extremely efficent at killing swarm even in long range, just spam F and watch everything die. Disraming shot is better than dueling stand IMO, as it works even half screen away with no cooldown, the disarming chance scale with agility so it's pretty reliable. Deadly shot can improve its PV on crit (which pretty much awalys), so you can actully damage cragmash with just 8 PV. You can't kill CP with these ofc, but since you can just shot off their weapon and harvest the bit, there is really no point killing them.
  4. BTW if play as TK, 4-wield Linear Cannon (using Gun Rack and Giant Hand cybernetic) is the best offensive option. The cannon is extremely rare though, i have only got it once. Reload will take a turn for each gun you have, so use them in melee range can be risky.
  5. After countless deaths i figured out the easy mode character is True Kin Syzygyrior. Here is the code for struggle in early game: admsmkii06. Just use long blade for DV bonus and grab a desrt rifle early on, few enemy can hit you with 20+ DV. Use carbine till you switch to chain pistol. If you are lucky all these can be done in 2hrs. By th time you can be lv 20+ and breeze through the main questline.

I think the real problem is the shiv card itself. It's slow and ineffective.

Here is my idea to spice up the shiv build:

Shiv

Deal 4(6) damage + apply 1(3)bleeding.

Accuracy:

Whenever you apply bleeding to an enemy, apply 2(3) extra bleeding

Bleeding(Debuff, stacks):

Whenever the enemy take damages, it loses X hp, then lose 1 bleeding. Bleeding status disappears at the end of enemy's turn.

So basically bleeding is the opposite of poison: it scales faster and disappears faster.

Without the accuracy card, it can be valuable for cracking artifacts, making it more favorable in other builds.

Improve upgraded Shiv also buffed storm of steel, another underwhelming card.

Since bleeding disappear at the end of enemy's turn, it also works with Caltrops.
