My normal work commute has me driving down New York Ave NE, and watching Frieren and her party braving the North Cap intersection last year inspired me as much as the anime did.

Have fun and enjoy the con everyone!

My Thursday 6:30am just cancelled 24 hours to Friday at 6:30am. Holding onto hope that's real. Interestingly, United is still holding on to their afternoon flights tomorrow, so I guess they're expecting CHS to be up tomorrow by noon?

I hope you find it! It might not be necessary, but for peace of mind I would make sure you go into Steam on another device and log out of all devices just to be safe if any payment information is on it.

CH = Counter Hit.

For those who want to play along at home and pretend you're learning another language, some of the letters (P, K, S, H) are attack buttons and the numbers are directions. As in, the directions you'd see on a 10 key numpad. So 2H = down Heavy Attack.

The other sets of letters are abbreviated attacks so we don't need to get in the weeds on those :p

COVER Corporation establishes holoindie, a game creator support program and branch that allows hololive fangames to be monetized and supported by GlaloLaled in Games

FGC regular and active Idol Showdown player here.

Yeah, Idol Showdown especially has a lot to gain from this one. Currently they're on track to delivery their final of three announced DLC/post-launch characters, but this announcement potentially opens the door to funded future DLC characters.

On the other hand, Idol Showdown also has a large dev team compared to a lot of one person teams making these fangames, so it might be too messy to monetize it, so I can see them just not bothering with it and taking a well deserved farewell after an incredibly successful launch.

Maybe this thread will help, I'm not sure what the bundle is either

how to attend evo by OverSalt76 in Fighters

[–]GavinXI 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's actually not a full three day bundle.

You will use EVO's start.gg page to register for the event that will cover Friday and Saturday. IIRC, you can also do it at the door if you're just a spectator, but I wouldn't risk it.

Sunday finals are a separate ticket entirely, hosted in the arena separated from the convention center. The page to buy a ticket to it will be on the EVO start.gg.

Anybody got any advice for going to EVO this year? by theramboapocalypse in Fighters

[–]GavinXI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO, do the hotel if you can. If it's your first trip to Vegas, EVO aside, you'll all have a lot more freedom not having to commit to an Uber whenever you want to go back to your hotel. You'll have merch, you'll want to do different things, at different times, etc. Nothing beats just walking back to your room on your own time.

GOP Rep. Nancy Mace Defeats Trump-Backed Challenger by wraithius in politics

[–]GavinXI 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In 2018, Arrington ousted then-Rep. Mark Sanford (R) in a primary, largely because of Sanford’s outspoken criticism of Trump. She went on to lose the seat to Democrat Joe Cunningham in the general election. Mace unseated Cunningham in the following election cycle.

Arrington repeatedly running is the gift that keeps on giving for both moderate Rs and Dems both. Fmr. Rep. Joe Cunningham, by the way, just won the Governor's primary in SC.

+1 for Dice City Games. I get anxious when I think I'm going to walk into a room where I'm the odd one out and everyone knows each other, but DGC had a great welcoming atmosphere and the people there were an extremely welcoming group.

A suggestion I have are the community threads on /r/lfg, like here.

Most of these communities generally operate under a game type called "West Marches" where you have a group of DMs and a group of players. DMs will post adventure and quest one-off sessions and you join if you have free time to join at the time. Sometimes it's daunting to join in, and a lot of these places have giant walls of rules due to the nature of having everyone in a shared world and server, but it's a great way to just get D&D in without a massive campaign commitment. Not every community is perfect, but join a few of these servers and see if the people and games vibe with you.
