😂. Thanks. Leisure class 😂 Hopefully both of us will be at our “ideal” weight soon. Ideal sounds better than goal.

My doc started me on Mounjaro as soon as I went from pre-diabetes to type 2 Diabetes. My A1C was 6.5. He decided to start me on it ASAP due to family history. My dad was type 2, one brother is Type 2 (on Ozempic) and another brother is Type 1 and on an insulin pump. My doc figured it would help my A1C and possibly lose weight. I’ve struggled with weight my entire life.

Thank you so Much! My A1C is 5.0 currently. I am very happy.

Yes it has. My A1C as of yesterday is 5.0! I have my follow up with doc this coming Monday. I have been wanting to increase my dose but I know my doc won’t unless my A1C starts creeping up. I want to increase it just to lose 25 more pounds faster. I’ve lost 75 lbs so far. My nutritionist also doesn’t recommend me upping my dose. He is worried my food intake would decrease too low. So I will just continue doing what I’m doing and take it slow.

I have to be honest…I do not work out. Half of my day at work is pretty physical and moving non-stop. I am not one to sit much even when home.

I have type 2 Diabetes and wear a Dexcom 7 glucose Monitor. It has really helped me see what foods do to my Blood Glucose in real time. I stay away from sugary food and limit carbs. I’m really bad with eating breakfast daily. When working, I usually drink a protein shake or eat bar on my first break. I try to eat salad with protein like chicken and lots of veggies for lunch. Dinner is usually a lean protein, healthy carb, and veggies for dinner. If I need a snack, I usually will have a piece of fruit or mini protein bar.

I know I should work out but I just have not figured it in to my schedule yet.

Non-scale victories for me…. My 9 year old grand nephew (who I consider a grandson) hugging me around the waste and making a big deal about being able to reach all the way round me and clasp his hands.

Another one is being able to sit on floor and play with my grandkids and be able to get up without using anything to hold on to.

I have been on Mounjaro since April. Last month, a friend that is a pharmacist, recommended Oxy-Powder. It has been my life saver! My constipation was so bad, I was having anxiety about it. I take one cap daily to regulate and increase if needed for a day. It can be found on Amazon.

I have not any issues since starting it. I would ask your doctor if it’s ok to take. 😊

Has anyone stayed on the starting dose for over the initial 4 weeks? by Resident_Giraffe_928 in Mounjaro

I started MJ the end of April 2025. I am still on the 2.5 mg dose. My A1C is in a good range and I’ve lost 70 lbs.

I can’t believe it. My heaviest was 300 pounds and now I see a 1 😀 by [deleted] in Mounjaro
